Nausea/Anxiety(?) Help!?

Seal (SmittyIsOurSavior)

I've been almost constantly nauseous since Friday when I was hungover. I'm beginning to think it's been all in my head since then, and I have had problems with anxiety before.

Or maybe I'm just actually sick? I dunno, but I've now missed 6 classes since Friday because of a super nauseous feeling, to the point of getting really sweaty and unable to sit still.

If anyone has any ideas or similar situations, please let me know, because this is really screwing with my life and my education right now.

Could be a stomach bug

That was a thought, but I have forcefully tried to throw up and I can't. I would think I'd be able to throw up if that were the case.

But then again, I have felt sh*tty while sitting alone in my room, so if it were triggered by the thought of being afraid of throwing up in class, public, etc, that wouldn't make sense...

I dunno. I might just run by campus health, but it always takes ages to get through there.

Maybe alcohol poisoning, not enough sleep, depression or bug. Try to drink Gatorade, get at least 8 hours of sleep and avoid eating fruits, vegetables and dairy products.

You could be right. Definitely not depression, I've been feeling awesome recently. But I guess I have been lacking in sleep and loaded with alcohol this past week or so. Maybe I'll just sleep like 10+ hours tonight, and if I'm still ill tomorrow, I'll run by campus health.

When I was in college I got very sick when I feel like throwing up but I couldn't, feel very fatigue and couldn't focus. I had high anxiety and spend hours working out. It was from lack of sleep and too much drinking. Drinking kills ur REM sleep so ur body is giving signals. If u don't get ur rest u will get insomnia where u will sleep only few hours at the time and will be miserable. Insomnia causes depression. U got the point. Go to CVS, get Zzzquil and get 8 hours of sleep for 3-5 days so ur body can recover. Don't push ur body.

Alright, thanks man. I already take melatonin supplements as a sleep aid, but my sleep schedule varries so much from day to day, it can't be healthy. That mixed with alcohol, and I see the signs. I'll try to do that for sure.

Now, I'm gonna go to my first class since Friday morning. And I'm already fearing getting sick in class. So it probably is just anxiety scaring my into thinking about getting sick. Regardless, I'll be getting my sleep and drinking my fluids.

Worth it if you're missing classes.

Hope you feel better :)

Alcohol can heighten anxiety and make it worse. If you have had previously diagnosed problems with it, you need to be careful about how much you drink and when you are. For example: if you are already stressed out/anxious about school, drinking is only going to exacerbate that anxiety.

Nausea could definitely be from alcohol poisoning. It can sometime last for a few days, depending on how bad it was. Make sure you are drinking plenty of fluids (water or  gatorade is preferred, juice is ok too).

Finally, did you ever have Norovirus this past year? It was a particularly nasty stomach bug that caused extreme nausea. I'm 90% sure I had it, as one Sunday I couldn't even keep water down.

Drinking lowers your immune system's ability to fight off infections, thus you could have gotten another bug. If this persists for a week: GO TO STUDENT HEATLH or a Doctor. It could be the flu, though this would be a semi early time to get it.

    • You didn’t really address the point, just like you ignored the point about the RBs initially, and saying “they are all lotto picks” is just a really silly reduction because you could say that about literally any player rookie or vet every snap, every game, every year. It is well known that different positions have different hit rates, and I would argue different types of prospects within position groups as well, and that hit rates change the further down in the draft you go. Everybody knows QB is different and that, for example, first round OL have a really high success rate. Using your lotto ticket analogy…again…you are saying a lotto ticket with a 1 in 100 chance of hitting is the exact same thing as a lotto ticket with a 1 in 2 chance of hitting (this is an example, don’t take these odds literally). The point was he is no more of a lotto ticket than the 31yr old receiver coming off a major knee injury, and in my opinion he is better odds with a higher potential “jackpot”. Saying one player is an “lotto ticket” while another isn’t is just not sound logic. You have no idea who will break out, regress, get injured, etc. There are safer bets than others, that’s all. I don’t think Diggs is a safe bet and even if he was, weighing him over all of the Panthers WRs plus 2 1k rushers is just dumb. You can disagree if you want. The list is stupid.
    • Yeah, this is all projections of how it will turn out. Inevitability this list will look ridiculous in a full 2025 sesson hindsight, most likely. Still, I am pretty surprised that so many bristled at being thought of as having very, very lowly ranked WR and TE units. We literally have been for years. All you have to do is just have things stay the same and those are immediately bottom 5 units. It is easy to see why one would be reticent to have lofty expectations in the preseason. Gotta show it first when you are a perennial cellar dweller. That's just life at the bottom.
    • That's my biggest concern with making him the 2C.  You split up the Aho Jarvis bromance that accounted for a lot of points.  If Jarvis excels as a C, it could help the team even more though.
