Rivera Needs To Be Fired Tonight

Ron should be fired tomorrow, but we all know he won't be. This is the same owner:

1. Was too cheap to fire John Fox when it was obvious to the entire league that he was a lame duck who didn't give a fug

2. Sold out a whole year, and fuged us fans for a lockout that didnt happen

3. Then to prove he wasn't cheap and still cool, had a stupid GM hand out crazy contracts to two running backs, in the passing dominated NFL

4. Threatens to move the team and holds the city hostage for millions of dollars of coperate welfare for his billion dollar franchise

fug this, I'm done and will not waste anymore Sundays or my hard earned money on this franchise until JR proves to not be the incompetent, cheap ass, overbearing old ass owner we all know him to be.

The problem isn't just the coaching, it's the fuging owner, fug him and Rivera!

Fug Ron, Fug are secondary, fug Arnold smith, fug fua, and fug whoever I left out. This team is fua. The face of this franchise is fua. I feel so sorry for Steve smith to waste his talent on this team. And fug who ever idea it was to make cam a pocket qb. I'm s***in bricks right now

Exactly and I agree 100%.  Thought this the second the game was over.  That run on 3rd and 5 was it for me.  This is b.s.  They wanted to start fast, said they had to, needed it and here they are AGAIN at 0-2.   Fire Rivera... NOW.

I don't have as much issue with that as I do with the letting them drive down the field and score.  Our 2:00 defense has been horrific.  For 99% of teams/games, being up by 6 with 1:40 remaining is a W.  Not for this team and definitely not for this staff.

I did have a huge issue on that 3rd and 5 run at the end.  Look at the overall of this team.  They need a win, need to show something and instead of FINISHING the game... he plays it safe and puts his team in a position that has failed time and time again.

I am just angry again that here we are with what looks like another wasted season.  Such crap.  Oh well, I guess its on to another horrible start and talking about next year.  Same ol Panthers.

It starts at the top. It starts with the head coach

Its a mentality. Its a personality. and it trickles down to the rest of the staff and the team.....

well Rivera trickles down nothing but losing and being soft..and well it shows with all of these gut wrenching losses.

I think it starts with JR to be honest...

Let's see if he allows Gettleman to really change things. Otherwise we may be like the Raiders...

Held hostage by a clueless owner.

JR has nothing to do with the game plan, making calls etc.

I hear you though....he hired the wrong guy. Rivera had everyone fooled. He clearly doesn't have the fortitude to lead a group of men to victory on the field. He is not tough enough and neither is this team.

I feel really bad for Smitty....having to wear this garbage going into the final years of his career...

2-14 in one possession games in a little over 2 years.  Was the opposing team's DC when Jake drove the field and threw the last second game winning TD vs SD.

The Guy is a CHOKE artist

It's honestly pretty funny that happened against Rivera.  Explains a lot.  Maybe he is cursed.

    • Not exactly sure that is an honest assesment of the talent he had to work with that year. Olsen had over 1100 yards that season making the PB, Stewart had close to 1100 total yards also going to the PB. He had Kalil at C who went to the PB, Trai Turner at RG who also went to the PB, and Michael Oher at LT who played well enough that the Panthers offered him a new contract the following year. I wouldn't call that a trash OL. He also played with a defense that was stacked with talent as well.   "The thing we are doing better this time around is actually surrounding our #1 overall draft pick QB with talent vs. asking him to completely carry the offense. I just hope that effort is leading us to realize that the guy isn't even good enough to get carried." Please.... Did you not read the list of names Newton had to work with his rookie season. I guess you missed it so I will post it again for you... Steve Smith (PB), Greg Olsen (PB), Brandon LaFell, Ted Ginn JR, Deangelo Williams (PB), Jonathan Stewart (PB), Jordan Grossn (PB), Ryan Kalil (PB) on the offensive side and then he had Luke Kuechly (PB), Jon Beason (PB), Thomas Davis (PB), Star Lotulelei, Kawann Short ( PB ),Charles Johnson, Greg Hardy (PB ), Mike Mitchell, Josh Norman (PB)  For comparison, here is who Young had his first year.  Chuba Hubbard, DJ Chark, Jonathan Mingo, Adam Thielen, Hayden Hurst, Ikem Ekwonu, Chandler Zavala, Bradley Bozeman, Nash Jensen and Taylor Morton. Not a single PB player on the list and most of them aren't even playing any longer. Additionally, his HC was fired during the season and the defense was as bad as the offense.  You might not like the comparison but saying Newton had to completely carry the offense isn't exactly fair to the 4 pro bowlers on offense who played with him that year.
    • That's why I say we have to keep looking. Even if you believe Bryce is the guy, KP and Grier are not and who knows if King is anything more than a gimmick player, we should be active in improving our 2nd QB spot. Season ending injuries happen, and you don't just want to roll over and give it up. How many starters have we seen come from the ranks of backup? Having 2 potential starting QBs is one of the best problems we could have.
    • Eh, it’s more on how bad the refs are. Some of these calls against the canes are no calls
