What I think Rivera's problem is

He over-thinks. He lets his head get in the way of his gut and he plays the "right" and "safe" way.

 

After two close losses, and taking a few more risks in week 3, do you think Rivera is past this?

I think his main problem is playing the guys he is friends with, and sitting the guys who are in his perceived doghouse, even if it's a detriment to the team.

It becomes lost in the beauty of the win, but this giants team is bad. Their offensive line may be in worse shape than ours.

Rivera is not an NFL Head Coach Sorry. 

 

He should play for blow outs all the time, cause he can't coach in close games anyway. 

 

Rivera, should have tried to get Cam his 4th TD, or one of his RB's a TD in the 4th qtr

Let's not forget the Broncos are the best team in the NFL and a lot of NYG's problems have been on their turnovers,not the team itself.

Actually, if you listen / watch most Broncos games, the reoccurring question is where do they find pass rush at, with Miller suspended and the fax mishap. They are struggling with pass rush right now. They only have five sacks thus far.

Think RR is too conservative, stubborn and "old school" (like Fox was, before getting P Manning) in a league that has/is changing the rules for scoring more points (for excitement). Being a GOOD coach is adapting to the changing situations (in the league or the game itself).

I think we could definitely be a top 15 team, but it's a combination of our coaching, shooting ourself in the foot, and bad luck that's holding us back.

Today was a step forward, most definitely. But it isn't like we stomped a Super Bowl contender.
