I'm taking down names. (A Cam Newton Thread)

2nd TD pass to Lafell and Cam was lucky that Ross didn't turn around and pick it off. Also Ross should've picked another one that Cam threw at his head. Cam didn't play bad, I was happy with his performance, but creating a thread that "proves" that Cam is on point is not on point after a performance that was good, but not great.

Just step away from the keyboard.

Stats are meaningless to me, I could care less if he threw for any TD's I care about wins and accurate passing/good decisions. Cam made good choices today and improved his accuracy, but inaccurate outside of the hashes on throws over 10 yards, what about that assessment is wrong?

does cam give us the best chance to win now even with this coaching. or does starting over and drafting a qb?

did cam will this emotional win in the first quarter when it was in his hands or did somebody else. what do you want? what do you want from your qb? are these players just picked out of the sky?

is anybody saying that cam doesnt have faults or are the "cam nuthuggers" just saying he gives us the best chance to win and has proved that week in and week out?

seriously what more do you want?

i'm sorry i forgot peyton and brady and brees make mistakes too.

i'm not comparing cam to them, i'm only saying people are so hard on this guy to be perfect it is ridiculous. play to his strengths and this is what happens.

I never said that the others were perfect, did I?

The idea that Cam is beyond criticism though, or any other QB, is fuging ridiculous. The guy has played like garbage at times and has played otherworldly at times. Just because someone says something negative about him doesn't mean that they're hating on the team, on the franchise, or any of that other garbage.

I got what I wanted today, as I have stated I was happy with Cam's performance and I stated that he needs to work on passes are on the outside. I WAS PLEASED WITH CAM TODAY.

And how did the rest of the team play? Or sorry, u had your magnifying glass so far up Cam's ass,you couldn't focus on the rest of the team? What else is new.

Some of you Panthers fans are so fugging obvious. Yeah, Cam will never be good enough based on the silly anal game you're playing.

Glad to see Cam is right up there with those other losers like Brady and Peyton. As one if the Analysts stated, all this team needs to do is start winning because Cam is already doing his part as a QB.

Why so harsh, this is a thread about Cam, why would I talk about the rest of the team in this thread. Since you asked, I thought that TD, Star, CJ and Kraken played well, as did the entire secondary. I was impressed with the OL, specifically Amini. Chase Blackburn played better than Jon Beason did in the first two games. Ted Ginn looks like a great find and should get more playing time.

    • Evero to the Raiders makes zero sense unless the OC he's pitching them is a failed HC who doesn't have interest in trying for it again. They're a team about to draft a QB #1 overall, developing him is job #1 for the new coach/staff.  Hiring a DC with a young up and coming OC wouldn't make any sense, because then you risk losing that OC to a HC job after maybe just a year or two and that young QB has to change system, play caller, etc. It's why hiring an offensive minded coach makes the only sense.  The Raiders have to make the right hire/pick with this HC hire and #1 pick combo because of that division they're in, it's a gauntlet and you can't screw up this opportunity.
    • 1. Sadly, it's just too early to tell with Icky. And the draft will have come and gone before we have anything, FA, too probably. Njiman was good, but there's dollars to be invested there as well. This is really our biggest puzzle to figure out. And Moton on the other flank is getting long in the tooth, too.  2. Coker: Pay the man WR2 money.  3. Most WRs take three years before you really know what you've got. We'll know for sure by the end of this one and he's still on a relatively inexpensive rookie contract. Now if someone comes calling for a good, good trade... 4. This is the make or break for good teams vs bad teams. And depth development is essential. We've had a bit of that but there isn't a spot on our line that doesn't have worries except for maybe on guard.  5. I think you draft the best ILB, the smartest one in the first round and don't look back. People lost their poo here on this board when we "wasted" a pick on Luke Kuechly.  6. Yeah, I think Chuba is a workhorse. But we need to be more decisive in his use. Still not sure Rico doesn't come back next season, too. He'll get to see the marketplace first, though, and we'll offer similar numbers to him.
    • I've grown to enjoy Mike & Tripp, even more so after listening to the ESPN, TNT, TBS hacks who, for whatever reason, seemingly don't know dick about the Canes.
