Welp, a lesson learned by the NFL thanks to the Bucs...

Damn was it really 8?? Lol

maybe more...

Before hiring Schiano, Tampa Bay talked with Oregon head coach Chip Kelly but those talks collapsed early Monday.

The Bucs also talked to former NFL head coaches Brad Childress and Marty Schottenheimer; Carolina Panthers offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinski; Tennessee Titans defensive coordinator Jerry Gray; Cincinnati Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer; Green Bay quarterbacks coach Tom Clements; and former Packers offensive coordinator Joe Philbin, who accepted the head coaching opening with the Dolphins.

An 11th known candidate, ex-Dallas Cowboys coach and current Houston defensive coordinator Wade Phillips, canceled a scheduled interview with the Bucs that would have taken place while the Texans were in the playoffs.

Ron Rivera is our coach. We don't have much room for laughing.

when the lockerroom looks like theirs does...yeah, there's room for it.

schiano is a putz and a bully.

rivera may not be the best game manager (well, ok...he sucks), but at least the guys on the team like him and are heading in a positive direction.

schiano's team is looking like some bad sopa opera.

hard knocks would consider it a ratings bonanza.

I feel like I remember seeing him blitz victory formations in prior years as well. He's a weird one. Josh Freeman wasn't an amazing quarterback, but it seems that Schiano lost respect from his QB. And Freeman isn't going to perform much better for someone with whom he has no ounce of respect for. It does not surprise me that Greg wanted to go with a fresh out of college kid who won't know any better about getting bullied about.

When searching for a head coach to turn around a losing mentality...

don't go looking for the finest football mind New Jersey has to offer...

lol, what a tool. They need to fire everyone in the entire hiring process of this guy.

You have to be a special kind of Asshole coach to have the other NFL coaches past and present to hate you. I mean, not one NFL coach stuck up for the whole "diving at the kneel down" thing. That is rare, usually NFL coaches stick up for each other or try to smooth it over when someone makes a dumb move.  His tool status is forever cemented in history.

And now it looks like the Suckaneer organization is leaking protected medical information about Josh Freeman to muddy his reputation up.

This whole thing is just getting uglier and uglier.

By the way this is a serious crime. Sadly it will probably not be investigated.

chris smith from forbes could probably do it but he's busy doing some important stuff like staring at two years of video showing damning evidence that cam newton was wearing under armour shoe strings.

    • The good thing about replacing a bad player is you really have nothing to lose. If their replacement is bad so what, you didn't get much worse and probably saved money.
    • I came over from the old Panthers Insider site. When Fox Sports bought that platform it slowly just started dying plus the guy who ran that site was dealing with some pretty significant health issues so the whole thing just slowly fell apart. Quite a few of us migrated over here. Not sure how many are still around.  I miss that place. It struck a nice balance of having enough active posters to keep productive conversation flowing but didn't have so much traffic that you end up with a lot of trolling BS. This place is getting there though since we shutdown new registrations but at some point we're going to have to open it back up or we'll watch this place slowly die off too as posters fall off for one reason or another. We just have to figure out a way to filter out the spam bots. It was a never ending battle to ban the spam bots to keep then from overrunning the site. You'd think they'd be a little more strategic. I mean, if you fill a site with nothing but spam people are just going to stop coming so it's not a sustainable model. But nope, every one of them makes dozens of duplicate threads filling up pages upon pages as soon as their account goes live.
    • lol...I don't remember that.  Although recalling what I had for breakfast yesterday is sometimes a challenge.  Hope it was a positive thing.
