This isn't news. He's been saying for years he wants to have a #1 brought in and be moved to the slot himself.

He's lost a step (he's thirty fuging four) but he's still Steve Smith. The dropped passes won't continue. He'll blow poo up next week and shut all of you up.

He had a bad game.

He is still the best wr we have

Thru 4 games he has 18 reception for 203 yards. He has almost no yard after the catch... Proves he lost a step. He had similar stats when Chris Weinke started in 2007 and Jimmy Clausen in 2010.

Take away the Arizona game and his stats don't look that bad.

And as for the Zona game.

2005 week 4 GB 2 rec for 16 yds.

That was in the middle of his triple crown.

Bad day.

    • i presented this in another thread. he throws better to the out breaking routes the wr run, but almost nothing to the inside. that is half the options on a wr route tree. How do you run an offense like that?  even the outbreaking routes he throws are moonballs, that allow the DBs to catch up unless the wr is wide open. he has to throw with a lot of anticipation becuase he doesnt have the arm strenght to get it there if he is a little late. thats probably why you see balls behind the wrs.
