People are calling for Andy Dalton's head in Cincinnati.

Not fair. It must be because he is a red head.

Andy Dalton is a 3rd year player with a career passer rating of 83.8 and a career TD/ INT ratio of 52/34

Cam Newton is a 3rd year player with a career passer rating of 84.5 and a career TD/INT ratio of 46/34

This season Dalton is 19th in NFL passer rating.

This season Newton is 25th in NFL passer rating.

See how it works, folks???

What was it before the Arizona game? Where were you after the Giants game? Easy to come in after one bad game that skews the numbers.

Oh, I was here after the Giants game.

Check my posts.

I actually predicted that Arizona might give the Panthers problems in the run game and that I was worried about the results if they did.

Incidentally, Carolina ranked 32nd in the NFL in passing after the Giants game. They leaped to 30th with Sunday's performance.

There's a pretty simple way to find out if it's the players around Cam or Cam himself... sit his butt on the bench for a game and let Anderson take the snaps. I'm starting to believe that regardless of who is catching or blocking, Cam will continue to have problems reading defenses and throwing accurate balls.

TonyN didn't even start posting again until late August.

Before that he stopped posting in November last year before we went on that streak through December. Convenient huh?

LOL...I stopped posting after the Tampa game last year because of the overwhelming lunacy on this board.

It is becoming the same thing again this year.

It is really hard to read post after post by crybabies...

We have the worst coaches in the history of the NFL...

We have the worst OL in the history of the NFL...

We have absolutely NO talent outside of Cam Newton

It goes on and on...

Cam Newton finished 15th in passing in 2011

Cam Newton finished 15th is passing in 2012

Cam Newton is 25th in passing this season

If Cam Newton does not finish at or near the top 10 in passing this year, in an offense that has been simplified for his benefit...

The Panthers will be drafting a QB next season. Bank it.

He has AJ Green, two great tight ends, a lot of other good WR, two good RB, a great line, and a real defense, and a real head coach.

Not fair.

Newton has idiot Ron and a mouthy aging receiver

    • Like many of the old heads, I’ve been here for a long time.  I got a lot of respect for everyone on this board for your dedication to this team.  We’ve all been through it during the tougher years. At this point in life, I’m not one to judge anyone’s level of dedication, or their reasons why anymore.  Time, and a lot of bad football, will do that.  For me, it’s simple.  We share a common bond.  For that, I love and appreciate all of you crazy SOB’s. For me, last season was at a minimum, entertaining.  BY lead a young team to multiple come from behind 4th qtr wins.  That showed me heart, and that he has the clutch gene.  That’s the wildcard intangible.  For me, that was fun to watch even  if it was mindbogglingly frustrating at times.  Over the past two seasons, we have progressively built a better team around him.  On paper, the defense should be better this season.  That’ll help.  Let’s see what he can do as the other guys continue to develop too.  Besides, his contract is cheap for a few more years, and we just made some smart cap decisions during the draft. Let’s see how it shakes out.
    • Hiring Shula & his Cam save us playbook.
    • I would very much liked to have seen Jake Delhomme's career if Tommy Jone no hurt Jake.  I just know that roster and the leadership were destined to hit paydirt but Jake was never the same after the elbow injury, and unfortunately he was the sole reason they didn't make it back to the big one.  I think that 08 team was the best in the league, and Jake masked his inability well all season til the Arizona game put it all on display.  I'll go back to the season prior even and say the 07 team was primed to be a competitor.  Jake was off to a fantastic start that year (for a Panthers QB).  They may have been a championship caliber club for a few seasons after 08 too.
