Any gauge should be able to measure extremes and whatever lies between. We got beat by the Bills, not the best of them. What do you need Denver to tell you?

The '03 team had that special knack for making big plays. It was a special year.

 

I dont think this years team is par with the 2003 defense, but they are all young and have the potential to be a dominant for many years to come.

Corner was a weak spot in 03 with cousin and Reggie Howard. Ricky Manning had an unbelievable playoff run but they weren't great. I think the secondary is a toss up but give the edge to '03 with minter.

LBs are equal. Morgan and Witherspoon were of course solid but Greg Favors got major playing time on that team.

That front 4 was better and we had depth. Burton and Al Wallace could have started for most other teams in the league.

Btw, the 05 defense played better than the 03 defense did. They had to because our offense in 03 was better than 05.
