Blackmon available for trade? EDIT: blackmon suspended for season

It's amazing the play it safe conservative views of this board. Play it safe for what? Undo what? A team that Is .500 for the first time since 2008 under a lame duck coach? Really what damage could he possibly do? We've been playing it safe and reaping no benefits for years. Meanwhile the risk takers like the bengals rise to relevance strike gold (burfict) patriots (dennard)rams (jenkins). Every kid thay hits a bump in the road isn't rae curruth.

I doubt they let him go for less than a first, so people are going to be skeptical at the thought of giving up that pick given his circumstances. Um Burfict went undrafted, and Dennard was a 7th rounder. Janoris Jenkins, really? I saw all I need to know about him Sunday.

This sounds like bullshit. PFT (really?) is literally the only place talking about this. I highly doubt this is legit.

Besides, I honestly would rather not even have the guy here. We don't need this in our locker room.

Anyone see him knocking down a security guard last week while he went out of bounds? He didn't even help the guy up.

Didn't help him up? This is why you don't want Blackmon in the locker room?

I remember the same thing happened to perennial nice-guy DeAngelo Williams last season. He accidentally ran into a camera or security guy, knocked him down, turned around, and ran back to the huddle. There are other people standing around. It's not the players' job to stand around and help up a security guard in the middle of a game. The show must go on. (Nothing personal, Zod.)

I would be okay with trading a 3rd, maybe even a 2nd rounder for Blackmon. I don't see it as being very likely to happen, though. At all.

I didn't say that's why I didn't want him here. I put the information out there, since this is, ya know, a thread about Justin Blackmon.

Yeah, Gamble isn't exactly the brightest crayon in the knife drawer either.

But probably the best cornerback we've ever had, and definitely better than what we have now.  Gamble just got bored with football I think, if he focused like he did a couple of those seasons he could have been a top 5 CB (he was in a couple seasons).

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
