Cam and 1st downs

Ive been watching Espn all day long. Cam is getting alot of praise for his maturity and his dedication to preparation. However multiple people have brung up his 1st down celebration pose( skip bayless, steven A, Herm edwards, etc). I love Cam to death, thats my quarterback but i do not like the first down pose at all, never have and never will. the pose just rubs me the wrong way and im always like why are you doing that now its just a first. I really want him to stop. wanted to know what the huddle thought about this.

P.S  The Superman Celebration its totally deserved for touchdowns

meh, simply an example of they have to have something.

Tom Brady will even pull a first down karate chop if scrambles for a rare one.

End of the day Newton is having fun....they want him to be completely professional. No Fun League doesn't have to be so.....

Heck watch screen caps of Newton running....he runs with a huge grin you only see out of kids.

Let Cam be Cam.

I laugh when I see him running with that grin with the pearly whites showing. The guy is having fun out there and loving it.

    • Yeah, I hadn't thought about that fact. An offshoot of a historical all-defense draft in 2020 maybe? I'd like to think it's just coincidental though. Dan would probably say we've just been wired on the BPA, and that just happens to have been offense players the last five years. I think that results have been mixed largely due to a couple of forced errors. Last year was good, and this last draft appears to have set the steady improvement in the first round. We'll see.
    • Phillips is a huge gamble. No doubt. I am hoping that he hit a streak of bad breaks and has come clear out on the other side of all that.  If he is right he has to be an upgrade on Burns. At just about the same money. He sets an edge too which we weren’t getting before.
    • Smack Central is in the realm of sports smack talk though. Which yeah can be fun and funny. This political and cultural stuff divides the people here that would otherwise be on the same side. In the narrow focus of sports fanning.    It isn’t my decision or call, and I can do either.  Do have opinions on it though.    And agreed this may be one of a dying breed of communities but it is still the best format for people interested in one particular pursuit. I haven’t seen better formats.  Can find something you said five years ago. To me even lol. This other stuff is so much stream of consciousness in the moment focused.    And this can do that, but a lot more.
