Trade Deadline is TODAY

Panthers ain't about that life. To them a bold move is going for it on 4th and inches. Carolina strikes me as the team that just wants to win games and be entertaining. Nothing they do screams we're trying to win a Super Bowl.

Give it time man, I don't think making a big move right now with the bloated contracts and upcoming free agents we have is going to be the right move. Making a trade just to make a trade is just as stupid as not making a trade at all.

Gordon - even though it would have been a big gamble on bring him in

Nicks

Fred Davis

People here always crying about building around Cam and getting Cam weapons. All three of these dudes would have helped the team immediately. However, after the Giants win on Sunday, I figured the odds of them trading Nicks had to be cut in half. They're right back in the mix and he's a playmaker. I thought the most realistic was Davis and I felt he would have fit in nicely. Oh well. Better hope Stewart balls out and no one (especially Smitty) gets hurt.

I don't know why people still continue to look at the NFL as if it's baseball, where you are either a deadline buyer or a deadline seller. And not picking up a receiver at the trade deadline means fug all as far as Gettleman being serious about building a contender. How often are premier wideouts traded mid season that have an immediate impact and put a team over the hump to win a championship?

Agree w/ this. The NFL is much different than the NBA and MLB. Teams place an incredibly high premium on draft choices in the NFL. You always hear the old, but true cliche "build through the draft."

Calm down cam wagoner...

Besides if we were trying to win a SB it would be better to get a RT to Cam upright long enough for us to hit big plays down field...

I can't wait until next offseason when we draft big nasties in round one and you whine like a b*tch saying Getts isn't setting cam up for success.

Noticed a trend this season? We keep Cam clean and he puts up a 100+ passer rating with his current weapons, Cam gets hit all day and he tries to force things while taking sacks...

If there is something to be learned from this seasons falcons it's that it all starts in the trenches.

Agree not about the cam wagoner, in that as many analyst have said carolina goes as cam goes. If cam is successful then the panthers will be successful. I agree with your point that it starts in the trenches and gettleman has said this repeatedly. The best thing we could do right now is build a stout top 5 O-Line for cam so that he can succeed with the receivers he has.
