Safe: Seahawks, Saints, Panthers

The winner of Monday night’s Seahawks-Saints game has the inside track for home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs. The Seahawks are heavy favorites to win the NFC West even if they lose to the Saints on Monday. The Saints and Panthers play each other twice in December, and if one team sweeps those two games, that team would all but lock up the NFC South. The team that doesn’t win the NFC South is virtually assured of a wild card.

Pretty cool to see us as "safe".

AZ best and only shot at the playoffs is a wild card. We can still win our division. There are 2 wild card slots. We have a lead on everyone in the WC race and head to head victories over the 9ers.

We are in a better position ATM than any other WC hopeful.

We are only one game up on two very good teams. To say we are "safe" is absolutely ridiculous. Especially with two games against the Saints and tomorrow's tough game

Arizona still has to play the Eagles, Seahawks and San fran. The other two games are against the Titans and Rams. 

 

They've already lost once to Seattle, St. Louis and the Niners. They could easily loose 3 more games with the schedule they have.

Yes, we are absolutely in the driver's seat, but are not a guaranteed team by any stretch.

My point of saying its cool to see us as safe is that the media is starting to look at this team as a legit playoff team. They are seeing our play and think that we are good enough to handle our business.

That, is what is cool to see.

You don't consider yourself a sure bet for the playoffs just because of other teams' schedules. We have to take care of our own business first.

Actually with the way the tiebreakers work because we've beaten San Fran and Arizona has lost to them we'd get the WC then San Fran THEN the Cardinals. So yeah, there's only two WC spots.
