“Put it like this, if I’m in a dark alley and I’m gonna fight a couple guys, I don’t want Steve Smith with me.  He’s nothing but a talker, he’s soft.  Come to Mississippi with that.  That’s what you do.  You come to Mississippi and we’ll teach you a couple lessons out there.  We’ll show you how to be tough.  He’s not tough.  He wants to fight everybody in front of everybody, when he knows everybody’s gonna break the fight up.”

Called Steve a bully and brought up Ken Lucas fight and more

lol the mean streets of Mississippi. Calling out Steve Smith honestly may not be in Smoot's best interest. As Stephen A. Smith said "Steve Smith is not playing. When he says he is going to bust you in your mouth he means it"

I don't think Steve would care about this immature internet smack talk anyways. If you aren't man enough to say it to someones face don't run your mouth about them

    • Nina King continues to run circles around the rest of college basketball. She's been ahead of the curve on everything, and is the biggest reason for Duke's success post-K IMO. I think Scheyer is great at many things, but Duke went into the NIL era 100% ready whereas everyone else was playing catchup.
    • Happy they won convincingly instead of letting them hang around. Montreal is cooked, and rather than play hockey, they've decided to take some really cheap shots at guys. I get a player may feel a need to set the tone, and I understand how that works. But to 2-hand cross check someone intentionally in the face, to have a guy down on the ice and put his head into the ice with a stick, to just start punching anyone who gets within arm's reach- that's not setting the tone. That is nothing short of playing dirty.  That said, the Canes.... oh boy. They could have run this score to 6-0 with half a power play. It's embarrassing how bad the PP is. If the Canes go to the Cup finals against a team who scores at least 1 goal per game on the PP, they'll lose the close games because of the lack of results on the PP.
    • Because he knows they are winning the cup. And I fully support his decision.
