Mike Mitchell.  We need to keep him and he's the best safety we've had since Mike Minter, but that's not exactly saying a whole lot.  He's a solid starter, but he's not great.

I would say Greg Hardy, but he's still having a great year.  One bad game in the spotlight won't do anything to impact his value on the open market.

In the open market, no. But games like that will affect him when negotiating with Carolina. Carolina has too many other holes to be giving one guy alot of the little money they have to work with.

With the depth we have on the DL, I think it's wise to take that money and put some into the back half of the defense and put some into the OL. Need to draft a WR though.

Having two guys like Hardy and CJ and paying them superstar money is a luxury. We just have too many holes to do that. If Hardy had a couple sacks last night and didnt let Brees exploit the secondary as much, this would be a different conversation, but that didnt happen.

    • Agree. First round LB, free agent pass rusher, another DT in the later rounds would have this team cooking.
    • Don't disagree with that at all. Not so sure it would fly though.  The Rams departing for a return to LA can be portrayed as unfair, and even rigged or manipulated. Everything was tied to the stadium being ranked in the top percent of buildings, and it was setup for them to have an escape clause. The league always wanted them in LA. The Cardinals leaving years and years ago is now ancient history.  I don't care either way. I really don't. I have never lived in that part of the country, and I never will, but they certainly have a claim to be made on getting a team again.
    • Canales said very directly we're not thinking like that at all. If your main message is the next snap, play, game is the most important you can't do something completely counter to that once you have some success. Hit em hard out the gate so they start thinking about resting players instead ha
