So we win 8 straight, lose to Saints in NO on SNF like everyone else in history, now we're suddenly worried about Jets?

And people say *I* am pessimistic? Guys, we're playing Geno Smith on Sunday. Literally Geno Smith. GENO. SMITH. Are you going to sit there and tell me the Jets have a better than decent chance of beating us with Geno Smith at quarterback against our defense?

So many people in this fan base are overreacting. Was it not just last week that the Saints were blown out in a primetime game on the road against a very good team? Remind me, did the Saints manage to bounce back Sunday night or not?

If the Jets score more than 10 points, it should be considered an upset. Panthers 27, Jets 9

If you want to make the case that we SHOULD be worried, I want you to really do it rather than just say "Any Given Sunday". I want to see someone's blueprint on how a Geno Smith-led team is going to beat this defense in BoA Stadium. And don't tell me I should be worried because Rex Ryan is Rob Ryan's brother, are you serious?

yeah, this is a "get right" game.  The jets are going to be running into a buzz saw, much like we did on sunday night.

They have no chance of us coming out sleepwalking.

Panthers 39 (That includes two safeties)

Jets 10

Personally I'm no more or less worried about the Panthers than I have been during our winning streak.  We have a few really big holes left in our team, which is to be expected because you can't fix as many holes as we had last year in one season.  The Saints are one of the best equipped teams in the league to exploit them and we played them in their house after they got obliterated the week before.  When it comes down to it we still won 8 straight including some games noone gave us even a chance to win.  For the most part we beat the teams we were supposed to beat pretty badly during those weeks too.  That's an accomplishment that shows we are still a very good, dangerous team to play.  This week's game doesn't change anything about my opinion of our team.

Honestly I think a lot of us already forgot what we came from in the immediate past.  If you'd have told me before the season we'd be 9-4 with a pretty solid shot at 12-4 and a VERY good shot at 11-5 to end the season I'd have called you insane yet here we are...even with the holes we still have to plug.  I'll take it.

We should win this game at home.  The jets aren't good and they are even worse on the road.  They are 1-5 on the road, and their 1 win...Atlanta.  They aren't a good road team, hell, only 1 of those losses was even respectable, they typically get blown off the field.  Don't get me wrong, they have a defense that can cause issues, but their offense is atrocious and our defense should have a field day at Geno Smith's expense.  Need to get to 10 wins and put pressure on everyone else in the playoff chase, and maybe, just maybe pray the Saints slip up to St Louis.

    • Two things: 1. Dr. Eric Eager is central to the draft process 2. I know that it was edited, but we didn't hear "Thieneman" one time, not even before the Vikings pick.
    • Why would he sign here as a guard when surely someone would sign him as a tackle?  Assuming he is healthy
    • Went back to watching the highlights. With a sober mind haha. Here is what I saw.    freddie needs to make 1 of those but the rest aren’t on him.    Slavin was BBBBAAAD again last night. Not sure what is going on with these game one Slavin gafs.    miller was ok but had his worst game in the playoffs so far.    nikishin was no good. His his awful turnover led to the first goal at the end of the first period that just can’t happen. ghost was beat like a drum multiple times last night, including the go-ahead goal at the end jarivs wont shoot. He is either hurt or he is struggling mentally and I think it could be a combination of both. He passed up a wide open net on the power-play only to pass it to no one and cleared it himself.     Svech played well. He is getting zero help on that line.    aho. Worst game as a pro. I mean that. He won’t shoot it, passes go to no one and turns it over repeatedly.  He did exactly what they did against Montreal game one when Miller had a turnover. Aho left his man to go help and left the golden Knight player wide open in front of Freddie.  If I was Rod, you Tell Aho when that thing hits your stick you fire it  someone needs to sit him down just him in a room and ask what’s going on. He seems soft, timid and has zero fire.   canes could have won that game   There isn’t a gap between these two teams  they are dead even   Carter Hart’s gonna get lit up in this series. We can beat that guy. the consensus last night was our defense played horrible and our stars won’t score.  clean the defense up. Tell the top line to shoot it everything and we’ll win tomorrow night.   Possibly convincingly.
