I would tend to think the loss of Von Miller in Denver is more significant to a playoff team than the loss of a QB on a team that likely won't make the playoffs.

I hate Cowboy fans and ESPN's blow jobs to the organization but I honestly do feel bad for Romo. He takes so much crap week in and week out.

 

Because the media and delusional Cowboy fans have done nothing but put him on pedestal that is, in fact, nothing more than a house of cards.

Schefter just reported on ESPN that Romo is out for the remainder of the season- back injury.

 

Waiting on confirmation.

 

Dallas has some bad mojo ..........hopefully they get over the hump one day.

 

They have a good chance of winning the next game....the injury to Romo will force them to run the ball with Murray and play a safer game.... & Keep Foles on the sideline.

Nah. Miller was out the first six games and hasn't been that much of a game changer since his return.

Idk, with Romo done for the year, perhaps the Cowboys have as best a chance as any to get into the playoffs... With Kyle Orton in at QB now, Jason Garrett will finally be forced to utilize his backfield beast, DeMarco Murray..

lol... Garrett is saying in the presser Romo is day-to-day while Schefter and Mortensen are both saying it's a blown disk and needs surgery.

My mom is clinging to hope since Garrett will only say he's "day-to-day". But yet they will likely sign another QB "just in case".

The team won't say anything until later in the week. It's called "gamesmanship" not wanting to give Philly any information. Not to mention the Cowboys only have 2 QBs on the roster...

Back injuries ain't nothing to play around with - but IMHO this looks like a PR move from Jerry.

If Romo does manage to play again this year I'll say he is one tough SoB. I've had a herniated disk and it took almost 4 weeks for me to be able to recover enough to return to work at full duty and almost 3 months to fully recover from it. The pain from it was equivalent to a kidney stone (had 4 of those). Day to day is being optomistic. It took almost a week on high powered anti-inflammitories and pain killers for me to be able to walk again. Not something I would wish on anyone, especially since the effects still linger 15 years later.
