Not terribly surprised, though I personally think that Seattle is still a bit better than us overall.  I think we can and will beat them though.

This guy is wrong. He stated that we need to beat the Falcons and then have some help. I never really pay attention to the power rankings because of things like this. It is just someone's opinion who really isn't all that educated on the matter

Wow, did not see that coming.  I still think Seattle is #1 and should be considered the favorites with their having the games at home.  I am fine with us being anywhere 2-4 along with SF and Denver.  I think you can put those three in any order.

 

Even so, it sure as hell does feel good to see.

Rewind your mind back to a few moths ago.  We were 1-3 and bandwagon fans were leaving in droves like rats jumping from a sinking ship.  Even the diehards questioned the future of this team.

 

Fast forward to today.  A much maligned media outlet, and probably a few more to come, have us at numero uno.  They all have us close to the top, yet we still have so much room to grow.   

 

Who knew this storm of a team was brewing?  The vast majority had given up hope.  I ask you again, who knew?  I'll tell you who.  Fifty-six men on the field and their coaches.  They believed, and so should you.

 

You know the two words that come next, but I don't feel worthy of uttering them because I too had doubted this team, so I'll just say Merry Christmas instead.
