The play calls at the end of the game were NOT playoff caliber

We need better weapons...we get better offensive production. Why can't you guys get it through your heads WE HAVE NO ZERO NADA OFFENSIVE TALENT OUTSIDE OF CAM TOLBERT AND SOME LINEMAN.

We HAVE TO PLAY LIKE THIS.

Granted we don't necessarily have top flight talent, but we do have seasoned pros---two of which who have been to the Super Bowl were on the field today.

Cam's first half probably had a lot to do with that conservative play calling. Take away a 60 yard screen pass and he has less than 100 yards on 26 attempts. He threw high all day on passes over 10 yards so they stopped calling them. If your QB is off and it's a close game, having him work it out through the game is not a good idea.

You created a thread, people are offering their opinions. If you don't like them, and can't handle that, don't create one. Simple concept.

WTF are you talking about? I don't give a rat's ass. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, and I haven't attempted to troll anyone for theirs'. Are you daft? Don't start with me today, Red.

Shula is not the best OC, but his play calling has gotten us in the Playoffs for the 1st time since 2008. So you can bash him if you like, I'd but I'll keep him for another year. Don't get me wrong, he does need to improve on his play calling some but more importantly, his play calling at key times. He also needs to draw up quicker developing plays. But of course, better offensive linemen will help next year.

This year offense is Methodical, but Shula needs to open the passing game like 2011 offense for the playoffs!

Not sure why you are in such a bad mood, and being snappy. But news flash here, we're in the playoffs, and we won our division.

Be happy, life is too short.

The offense has made just enough plays to keep people saying Shula is decent. This team is in the playoffs in spite of his bullshit, not because of it. If the D doesn't have 9 sacks and 7 points today, the Panthers play next week on the road. The D has bailed this offense out the whole second half of the season and the O better get their heads outta their asses if they want to make a run.

Number one scoring D and the offense is bottom third of the whole league.

Shula actaully rolled Cam out today on some bootlegs....someone forgot to tell him not to do it to the short side of the field though.

I swear that fool got his plays from a cracker jack box.

Ya see what you do is roll your QB out to the short side of the field so he has no room to work and WRs in routes there have very little space to maneuver!

derp

    • Wanting that type of play and being okay with paying $55 million a season for it are two entirely different things. If Bryce were to become the same player Purdy has been, then he would surpass my expectations of him and I'd be okay with him as our QB of the future (and again, I've long been one of the bigger anti Bryce people here who doesn't think he is capable of being our long term solution). But in no world would I be okay with paying him THAT kind of money, paying an average starter elite money is just a terrible decision.
    • I don't think they can overcome that mistake. Hell Lance was a hiccup compared to this. He isn't going to be able to carry that price tag and now he is going to have to do just that. Lol. The NFL is so dumb sometimes.
    • So, one could say that T-Mac is quicker than someone of his size should be and while he might not be quite as fast as Evans in the 40, he's more athletic than Evans. If only someone, anyone, could have seen that in his tape and mentioned that on here, hmmmmmmm In all seriousness, hearing he tested in the 89th percentile in that drill at his size is crazy impressive.  Just tried to look up the times of the top WRs in the league right now, most don't show at time for that, but I did see Chase ran his in 7 seconds flat. I honestly don't know how true this is, but I do remember seeing one breakdown of his tape and the person said he has quiet and efficient feet.  That he's really good at using the minimal steps possible to make his cuts and because of that, it actually makes him look slower to the human eye because you don't see all the quick chop steps that the guys like Tyreek would use in their running. I'm still in a state of disbelief that he's a Panther and it might not fully hit me until week 1 and I see him out there making plays for us, still feels like Goodell is going to just be like, "YOU GOT PUNKED!!!  hahaha, he's a Cowboy now, suck it"
