Was the bad snap really a mistake?

Throwing dump off passes whenever you need to stretch the field shows you are incompetent. A bad snap looks like a fluke of sorts.

So you think they played hard for 59:30 of the game and decided to intentionally bail out on trying to win by implementing a "fluke" snap? If you don't think they came away looking incompetent, you should head over to the TATF boards and read what the Falcons fans are saying about their team. Here's a hint.... Nobody is calling it a genius play or a fluke. They are embarrassed for finding another way to lose.

this is dumb.

the falcons fuging up is much easier to believe and makes much more sense.

One thing we take for granted here is Ryan Kalil.  If you watch alot of other teams play theres more bad snaps and confusion when hiking the ball than you'd believe.  Also Cam is so damn tall and athletic he'll sometimes bring down some high snaps that would be well over most QBs outstretched arms.

It's a minor facet of the game but isn't something we should overlook.  Just think our offense could be THAT much worse.

If it means moving up 5 spots in the draft then I firmly believe that snap would be more than okay to miss. Win a game in front of a half empty stadium and finish 5-11 or get a top 6 draft pick and (barring scouting mistakes) a sure fire pick. Or you trade down 5 spots and get an extra pick.

Tons of advantages to fugging that snap.

Of course there's a benefit in losing to improve draft position........but after watching the game do you honestly believe that the Falcons intentionally tried to lose the game in the final seconds?
