No. This city, fanbase, and team needed that. We haven't had something to be excited for in a long time. Sure, we went to the playoffs after a good year in 08. But we didn't have all of this young, amazing talent that we do right now. Charlotte is absolutely electric and have bought in to this team (finally).

The team needs to know how much this means to their fans. They know what it means to them individually and to their teammates and coaches. And players know that they play for each other, but it's a nice reminder that "hey, we play for all of these people that support us as well".

Don't rain on the parade because we're not done. I agree with you, we have bigger fish to fry, but the guys knowing they have our support is good after this season and heading into the playoffs. You could tell they ate up everybody being there, but I think they also got fired up by the way they had the "welcome home" party. How many other fanbases in the league do that? I can't imagine it's exactly common for most teams in the league to get that reception short of winning the conference or the Super Bowl.

    • Right and I think we can have a conversation about that. But even with the scheme he should still be able to muster more than 1.5 sacks right? I mean DJ Johnson played in Evero's scheme too but that didn't stop us from calling him a bust. Scourton didn't seem to have trouble flashing. There can be different things true at one time.
    • I assume you are quoting my still. If so, I don't know what your argument is since mine was simply showing a play where Bryce scored a TD against the Rams in the playoffs where another poster used a similar still of Herbert's line to defend his poor performance last night. Like I said, Herbert is a better QB but Bryce wins the game last night for the Chargers. It simply is something he does better than Herbert and would play to his strengths. Someone even said earlier Chargers only win 1 or 2 games this year if Bryce was their QB which is so absurdly laughable it wasn't even worth trying to address. I mean this thread is literally called "Bryce Young is the worst QB in Panther's History" so I understand there is no objective arguments to be had here but I found that amusing.
    • I think his knee would make a good reason to switch to guard IF he returns.  Half don't.  Half of those don't last too long.  The strain on a knee (320lb man) vs speed rushers is more substantial.  So I would keep him if I could on a small contract (he will make $17.5 in 2026 fully guaranteed) and think of him as a possible guard for the post Lewis/Hunt era.  Knee injuries in big men are not invitations to invest in them.
