Texans open to trading #1 pick

I am torn between Bridgewater and Bortles as the top QB in this draft.  I still believe (probably in the minority) that Johnny Football is a great collegiate QB, but his personality and temperment is too fragile for the NFL.  Plus, QBs with Brees' stature are few and far between.  That being said, Houston would be silly not to explore sliding down.  Ending up with any of the big-3 QBs while adding assetts is how a team in their state needs to be.

I'm not sure they're really "open to trading the # 1 pick", or they were just fleetingly responding to a question. Remember, the key word is "open".

Some GM's (no matter who's their personnel) believe you should always keep your options open.

Looking at their situation, I think they'll take Bridgewater (unless they feel they can't miss on Manziel, cause he's from Texas).

The Texans are one QB away from reclaiming their division. They wouldn't risk that taking Manziel just because he's from Texas. Owners and management don't care about state of origin. Just more money, playoffs money.
