So I was bored and looking at mock drafts...

...and could not help but laugh at this one.

"60: Carolina Panthers: Ka'Deem Carey, RB, Arizona

Cam Newton has made huge improvements this year, but he could still really benefit from a potent, pass-catching weapon coming out of the backfield."

So how bad would the reaction here be with a RB in the 2nd?

Stewart ain't going no where because of his contract. Dwill will be staying around mainly because Stewart is a injury risk waiting to happen. Tolbert is a real good fullback that can get the yards when we need it. Barner for right now dog food in Ron mind. I very much don't see us drafting a RB with our first 3 picks of the draft. We have much more needs right now. Not a dumb RB. Take care of what we have to this year and then next  year I see us using 1st or 2nd round to draft RB then. But this draft is all about finding a few good olineman and a top WR with our first 3 picks of the draft. If DG and Ron out of no where drafts a RB with the first pick. Then people around here will be super pissed off. But I very much doubt it.

This is an easy one to figure out.

Hurney was a sports writer, correct?

Walter football is a sports writer.(loose translation)

Hurney = Walterfootball

Thus one can summize that Walterfootball watches sports on a potato.

I don't mind Stewart. I tend to believe he's a great RB when our O-Line isn't lacking talent and depth but that contract was insane. If Hurney thought that highly of him, why didn't he cut Williams then?

Dumbass.

Yep he completely fell in love with his draft picks. I'm glad he was fired but I am curious when he would have realized how bad a job he was doing managing the cap.

    • Hey if they could beat Seattle… tiebreaker head to head over GB, LARms, Seattle… win out the record is 11-6.  Now rap my knuckles for suggesting we win out, but that would be some funny poo. Talk about sneaking up on people.
    • I expected 6 wins this season. I need to see the Panthers blow by that now that they exceeded it by 1. I like how Canales has schemed around the weaknesses on offense in the passing game. I am impressed with the receivers, run blocking, running back combo and secondary communication in zone. Defense and QB need more consistency. The improvement of the defensive play calling and critical 3rd down and 4Q passing when trailing is going to be what I am looking for going into the playoffs. If the Panthers can consistently regain the lead after trailing over the next 4 games, I can see them competing in the playoffs and worth a reevaluation of the last 2 seasons' weaknesses. This is the prove it or lose it moment in their Panthers careers for Young and Evero. No excuses.
    • He's on the smaller size for a center (5'8" 175lbs) and he is a bit of a liability in the faceoff circle. But, he's a proven 60 pt player with room to grow. I'd still rather go get TT from Buffalo. Rossi would be a great consolation prize, though.
