I really hope no one associated with the Panthers or their family members visited the Huddle today.

What is funny about the Huddle, and probably most other boards are the bi-polar swings out to the right and left of each subject.

Being a realist, I see a super tough game ahead this Sunday.  I do not see us "raping" the Niners or destroying anyone.  My hope is that we can beat them and that NO can beat Seattle setting up a final championship game in Charlotte.  We will have to bring our A game on offense and defense.  I think, even though it is in Charlotte, the Niners are a bit better than last time.  Mistakes might decide this one.

Just play it somewhere in the middle and let the teenagers worry about lofty subjects like what type of chewing gum Cam chews.

Lol. Complains players will see select few posters.

Makes a thread about it. Drawing attention to the fact, spams thread to keep it alive.

Reposts things select posters said for his aforementioned players to see.

Impeccable logic. I like you op but please read Growl's post until you understand the conundrum.

You aren't throwing on pads, you have no reason to doubt

Rivera and Co. aren't doubting for a second that they will win this game, why the fug should we?????

It's because I'm not throwing on pads that I have concerns. It's a winnable game, it's no gimme and winning it would be a great accomplishment. I think the first team to 17 points will win. It's going to be a battle.

We can talk all the poo we want but we aren't the ones playing on game day. We can only impact the game from the stands. And I'll tell you one thing, I was the one that said it was our responsibility to make the rookie Terron Armstead make mistakes and have false starts. Guess what? We got the damn job done.

Only thing I can guarantee is that BOA will be the loudest it has ever been come Sunday. You can bank on that.

Look skippy, I posted the comments because I was asked for quotes. Up until that point, I had done nothing but summarize.

And as far as spamming, my ego is not so fragile that I measure myself by views or pie. I stated an opinion and responded as appropriate.

So lol back at ya.

Edit: I would be perfectly happy if a mod would see fit to lock/delete this whole thread. It's just turning into a pissing contest at this point, and I'll take my share of the blame for that.

You're undermining your own stated mission.

I disagree.  Nobody is disrespecting the Panthers, at least not the Panther fans.  Not everyone thinks the same way, and the interesting aspect of this board is to read others' opinions, not to trash everyone who is not in agreement with your opinion.  Every team has strengths and weaknesses--the art of football is using your strength to exploit the other team's weakness.  Where are fans supposed to discuss these issues, or are they simply supposed to ignore them and hope they go away?  To ignore the weaknesses and only praise the strengths is an option for a fan, but not a requirement and certainly not a characteristic of anyone seeking truth.  We are  fans and not cheerleaders, and this board's intent is not to worship the Panthers, but to discuss them.  I do not need anyone telling me how to do it, but I will listen to them sharing their thoughts. I am a true Panther fan because I do not stick my head in the sand and think happy thoughts; I am constantly looking for ways we can get better.

There is nothing wrong with expressing concerns. It is not treason.  It is not tolling.  All teams have weaknesses.  Addressing them is how you win. Ignoring them is living in fantasy land, where some of you have purchased extensive amounts of real estate.  I am not satisfied yet because I see talent on this team, and I want a ring for Gross, Davis, and Kalil--they have been here through it all and their days are numbered.  If you want to talk Super Bowl, then expect glaring needs to come up in the discussion.

    • Given that the immediate impact we need at edge. We almost certainly address that in Free agency, not in the draft. Same with Linebacker, unless Styles or Allen is still there at 19. I think the same for OT.  What is the position that we could draft in the 1st round and get immediate help in the first is how im approaching their decision-making  I know ill get dragged for this, but im thinking they go DT in the first. A guy that can play right away and be a complement to D.Brown to wreak havoc at the LOS.   So unless a top tier LB is there, I think DT will be the move.
    • I think people forget that by his last season Steve Smith had the ass and he played like it - and for no really good reason other than that other stars were emerging on the team and he didn't want to share the spot light.  He was more of a locker room distraction than he was worth. He went on to have great performances with the Ravens' but G-man made the right move allowing him to move on from here.  I personally think it was addition by subtraction and we don't have a super bowl run with Smith on the roster. Steve Smith remains a narcissist who I've never seen internalize his own culpability when it comes to his relationships with others - it's always somebody else's fault as to why he was forced to act like an asshole. This video is a product ad.  I'm cringed that either of these two Panther greats are party to it.
    • I think the ‘issue’ here is that we had two guys that clashed for several reasons. In some ways they were different, but in other ways they had a lot in common, and sadly they couldn’t see the forest for the trees. Sometimes when you have two people like that together they are either going to love or hate each other, and if it’s the latter, you need someone to mediate and hope the two individuals are capable of putting their differences aside for the common good. In this instance, they couldn’t find a way to move forwards together because I don’t think either guy wanted to play second fiddle to the other. This video basically said neither guy had the tools to bridge that gap and mend that fence, and perhaps also were unwilling to give an inch at that stage in their lives and careers. So a divorce, while unfortunate, was always likely. Do we win the Super Bowl with Smitty and Cam? Well, it’s one of life’s big what ifs for us Panthers fans.
