Greenbay Was So Close

Niners beat one of the worst Def in the NFL.  The beat a great QB when he is healthy.  He played his second game against the Niners in how many weeks, like 6-8 weeks.  He was nowhere near his typical form, wasn't mobile at all, looked scared at times.  GB known to be horrible at tackling this year, we on the other hand are not.  They act like when they played us that they just had a bad game.  He muffed a punt return that they only got 3 points off of.  Had the most blatantly called fumble an incomplete pass on vernon davis near the goal line which we still held them to 3.  We had guys banged up also.  We had a DE playing on the OL for the first time.  Both our teams can say well this and that, but simple fact we won in your house.  We will rise up.  KEEP POUNDING!

Its amazing how story lines can change after 1 play. If that Green Bay CB catches the ball and returns it for the TD, we would be talking about how Kaepernick sucks. Now the 49ers are the hottest team in football and best suited to go on the road and beat Seattle, completely bypassing our game.

    • I honestly can’t believe this team’s turnaround this season. It’s surreal. Figured healthy we’d be fringe playoffs and with another lottery pick could finally turn the corner, but we don’t even need that. This group is ready. We haven’t played remotely well the last 5 games and yet still blew out 5 bad teams by 16+ each game like it was casual practice. We had a few solid teams with Kemba and Big Al but this is easily our best group since the original Hornets moved to NO. Man, what a shift in culture this new ownership group and front office has brought. So damn happy to see it after years of suffering and consistently meaningless games in this stretch of previous seasons.   Only 2.5 games out of the 6 seed, although Miami, Atlanta and Orlando have been playing well too. Gonna be a fun final stretch, hopefully we can get a top 8 seed at the very least. Celtics tomorrow will be a good test. Would be huge to keep the road winning streak up against a very hot top team on the 2nd half of a back to back. We’ve played Boston pretty well the last few years with much of this same group despite sucking so I do feel pretty good about it. Kon is due for a huge game coming off a few cold shooting games (although despite the poor shooting he’s been contributing well with defense, assists and rebounds).
    • It amazes me how underrated Horn has become after he finally was able to stay on the field. Sure last year wasn’t perfect but he was still a huge reason for our rebound defensively and I’d say he’s easily a top 10 corner. You don’t want to see Mike Jackson as our top corner. Any player is available for the right price but I’d be extremely hesitant to move Horn even for a big haul from LA.
