About that Boldin headbutt....

I agree! I ended up watching the game at the bar. We were baffled when no flag was thrown for that and also when he mushed one of our dbs in the head will on the ground after the play. There were a lot of questionable and no calls yesterday which really made  you wonder what was going on there. In the end, I am still proud of our guys. We will come back stronger next season.

Boldin knew he could get away with anything in this game. He has been around long enough to know the more popular team will get the calls. He was pointing and laughing at our backfield the whole game, especially captain.

I've got no problem calling a tight game and I've got no problem letting them play.  I just can't stand having different standards for two teams playing in the same game.

This...

Personally, I feel the game should have been called tighter than it was, to put a cap on all that chippiness that was going on...  But when you flag one team for it, and turn a blind eye to the other, it's helping determine the outcome of the game...  That officiating crew needs to have a spot reserved in the SF team photo this offseason...

I'll say it for the last time... there was much suspicion in these playoffs thus far. as if it has been weaved to a written plot and ending. it started with that mega Luck comeback, then the "final take" slides during the NO/philly game as they went into bully mode, then the ridiculous NO season throw away pass from a intelligent player that knows all about space, our game goes without saying anything but may I mention it ended the way it started (early penalties and error with crucial calls), and now look... Elvis vs Beaver (Manning vs Brady) in the midst of retirement talk for Manning.... based on the media today, its as if we didn't even go to the playoffs. Just sayin'... no tears here... but this is becoming something somewhat predictable and very old as we see the same old thing. There is certainly some money rotating under the table.... btw what was on JR folded paper? certainly it wasn't a bucket list check off

Nevertheless it does feel better ending a season that wasn't dreadful like a wounded horse waiting to be taken out and beat after death by the media and wagon fans for months to come. I'm proud of the boys but there is room for improvement in obvious areas.

    • Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.
    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
