Who was the 28th overall pick for the last few years?

Since we have the 28th overall pick this year, I thought it would be interesting to see who has been picked 28th in past drafts:

2011: Mark Ingram, RB

2008: Lawrence Jackson, DE

So overall it looks like you can find yourself a pretty good player with the 28th pick, in fact we found ourselves a pretty good one the last time we had the 28th pick in '04.

no doubt about it, talent will be there and I trust Gettleman and team to select a stud....it'll be interesting to see what we value more - OL? WR? CB? do we do best player available?

Most of the guys on there are still hard to make a judgement on, but the only one worth looking at is Joe Staley.

If Carolina doesnt trade down, which I think they should.  I think they should take Austin Seferian-Jenkins with #28. Olsen isnt getting an older. They havnt really found his replacemnt and good free agent TE's are hard to come by.

I'm not sure you proved your point. AP, Haden, and Aldon Smith are all world, but Williamson, Harvey and Hayward bey are busts, leftwich and Roy were overall disappointments, huff wasn't notable. Too soon to tell for the last 2.
