Well, I guess constructive critsism is lost in translation. Was trying to give you insight as to why folks are "Attacking" you. But, you are in such a defensive mode, it was lost on you.

As you have so politely called me a troll, I will add this little tidbit. You sound like my sister. Very good at dishing it out. No so much at taking it.

So in that vein. Carry on.

Re-read your posts.  There was indeed something lost in translation.  I think you were under the impression that your "insights" were requested.  Carrying on. thanks

It truly is too bad Cam was such a tweeb his first two years. If he would have been a better teammate and QB, we just may have made the Playoffs the last few years. I mean, obviously something was amiss. After all he wasn't even a captain. What kind of QB isn't a Captain right out of the gate?

I sure am glad Cam finally growed up. I just could not handle much more of his tomfoolery. We gave the guy a great Defense, and he finally learnt how to win. Thank Zod it did not take another 3 years.

Damm kids. They are just too immature to handle the rigors of being a NFL QB.

You guys that sit around and psycho analyze like you are doctor phil get to me. Either be a fan or go root for someone else. I cheered for the team even when Clausen and the crappy team played. Cam is a great athlete and people just need some patience. People who expect perfection after a few years in the league need to chill. He is just a young man, give him a break. I think the guy is great and am willing to be patient and let him develop.

Wow. Are you not trying to analyze people by telling them how they should be a fan like you?  Do you not analyze Cam above?

I blocked Red, but cannot help but see his attempt to jump in.  This is a chance for him to showcase his skill.

To answer his question:

Players are not going to make a negative statement to the media.  So if you think they are honest when asked about a teammate with a microphone in front of them, then that is on you.

Did Cam get a "C" during his second season?  That is more of a statement.  You know it too, but don't want to admit it.  You would rather take press conference questions at face value.

Cam got the "C" his third season, and he earned it.  That suggests that something changed.  Teams know the QB should be a captain.  Not giving him one was as big a statement as giving him one was.  That alone tells me he changed, and if you ever spent any time in a locker room you would get that.

WHen I was in college, they told us what we could and could not say to reporters. That does not make Olsen a liar, it makes him a teammate.

Or you could beleive every word he tells a reporter and mock others who contradict that.

I've never put anyone on ignore in all the years I've been here. Do what you want.

Anyways, I find it peculiar that people like you always seem to immediately latch onto the towel, or the captain subject. Every team is different, we had established leaders on this team when Cam came in. The Colts practically gutted the team before Luck got there. Who exactly did the Redskins have when Griffin got there? Different teams, different situations. As for the towel, well, if you are still bringing that up in a negative manner, it seems to me your problem lies less with Cam as a football player, and more something else altogether.

As for your comments on the players speaking to the media, that is just ridiculous. Just because you do not personally agree with their opinions on the subject, does not make what they are saying irrelevant, or somehow untrue. You really are embarrassing yourself on that one.

Why all this animosity?

You went from being civil and having a difference of opinion, to being down right snarky. All or nothing with you eh?

i know what you are saying but there were other choice words he could have used that would have sufficiently answered the question while still playing the media game, he didn't. he was emphatic and borderline called those who said different liars.

this isn't some bias that i want Cam to be percieved in my mind a certain way. This was the conclusion i came up with in my head of what type of person Cam is and how good of a football player i think he can become based on the info that we have out there. Because he was our #1 pick in 2011 and because he is the Carolina Panthers quarterback

Winning playoff games in the first few years has much more to do with team strength than QB ability. Colin Kaepernick and Wilson both went to teams with established defenses, great running games, and great OL play. We had one of those components this year.

Do you people realize how surgical Cam was for the majority of the year on 3rd down? It was unreal. He needs to translate that to being surgical in the redzone which would be aided by a better pass-catching option. If he continues that kind of play, the rest of the team holds steady and he improves his redone efficiency...goodness. The guy honestly has a chance to lead us to multiple Super Bowls.

IMO he's one of the 8 best QBs in the NFL....and he's played meaningful QB snaps for 5 years.

I've never really been critical of Cam since he really doesn't make a lot of bad mistakes. Probably a 5th of his interceptions are balls that the receivers should've caught. Please please please Gettleman get this man some receivers.

    • Jack Roslovic: Only 2 other UFA, right-handed centers age 28 or under had more points (39) than him- Sam Bennett (51) and Pius Suter (46). There were 4 other centers age 33 and older who scored more: Gireaux (37), Marchand (37), Tavares (34), Granlund (33).  Unless the Canes go old, if they let Jack walk, they won't get a center who scored more.  Thoughts?
    • nope     This is why we come back every year.  Hope springs eternal
    • It's important to differentiate criticism and hate. I can't speak for that individual you quoted. But most people who have been critical of the Tepper's have been so because both of them have made it a point to put themselves front and center and in the middle of team operations and we have been largely horrific more often than not as a result. If people are making derogatory remarks about her that should be met with an appropriate response but if people are being defensive just because she's being criticized all I can say is people should get used to it. Both her and David would have been getting absolutely skewered by the media and the fans if this were a big market franchise. The Lakers are finally being sold off after years and years of public criticism of Jeannie Buss and even though I'm the furthest you could go from being a Lakers fan just about anyone you could meet who is familiar with the NBA would say the criticism was certainly valid.
