Under 25 yrs old team

Who else would they pick based on his criteria?

Now, "under 25" translates this way: Any player who'll still meet the requirement in Week 1 of the 2014 campaign is eligible (i.e., if a current 24-year-old has a birthday coming this offseason, he's out of luck.)

The Luck obsession is getting played out.

By the media or this board?

I really don't get the hatred for him here.  If you truly think Cam is the better QB then you should love the guy for staying in college another year and ending up elsewhere.

I don't have any problem with Luck, it's just that the general football fans and media criticize Cam to a ridiculous extent, all the while saying Luck will be the next Manning or Brady. I don't really care who's 'better' to be honest, as I am perfectly happy with Cam as our QB, and I wouldn't trade him for any other QB in the league, but it does piss me off that everyone thinks Luck is so much better than Cam. In reality, Cam's played better in his short career than Luck has in his, even with Luck having better weapons. Now after this season everyone is writing off Cam's very good play, because we have a top defense. Ridiculous.

They create any freaking list just to put Luck at the top. What a desperate joke. When Luck is 30 and still a bum they'll create another list call 'the best 30 y old bum' and put him at the top.

By the way, it would be nice to find us a young elite LT like Tyron Smith in the near future. Seems like he was drafted at 20 and is entering his 4th year already. Incredible.

Cam did get alot of love for his play too in his first season which was a surprised because before Cam no one talked about the panthers.

Luck has done alot with a little. He had Wayne in his first year much like Cam had Smith. Both of them were still pro bowl players.

Luck mainly played without Wayne in his second season and still did an amazing job with the emergence of Hilton.

He has zero run game support and poor tight end support. The defense is terrible as well so he has to put up alot of points.

Luck was my fantasy QB this year so I watched a ton of colts games. Cam's supporting cast is much better than Lucks.

Can with a legitimate line is scary. He has done so much with a less than steller one.

    • Option A:  Pay your starting QB starting QB money. Option B:  Look for a starting QB for 4-10 years (or longer) while wasting the talent at every other position.    How many of the top 20 QB's do you think are worth what they are being paid?   When you factor in the last year of his present deal his contract is really an average of 45 million per year which in today's QB market is a very, very good deal. I wish we'd had found a Brock Purdy to pay 50+ million a year right after we parted ways with Cam.  Ya'll go ahead and live in fairy tale land where good to great (much less elite) QB's are available to pay. Just the fact that they had the chance to pay Brock after the disaster of trading up for Lance is a testament that when you find a quarter back you can win with, complete in the playoffs and superbowls with, you pay him.
    • They will still be a playoff team but they aren't contenders anymore IMO. They won't be able to spend like they have when they went to a SB and proved he couldn't carry a win at that level with a really good team around him. Now he is going to have to do it with less to spend around him. They just locked in to being a playoff bound team that's going to be a known speed bump for whoever will represent the NFC in the SB.
    • Hmm. I think he'll live up to it. Last year, about half of his team was on IR it seems, at one time or another. Year before, Super Bowl appearance. Year before that, playoff run after being third on the depth chart and being pressed into service. Is he one of the greatest in the game right now? Nope. No chance of that. Is he in the top 10 going into next season? Pretty good chance of that.  Would 20 or more teams in this league love to have the guy as their starting QB. Most likely so. He's a good QB who can implement his coach's game plan to a T and has both the confidence of and confidence in his teammates. That'll take you a long way in this league if you've got the right cast around you, and he does.
