Of course he'd have a faster 10 yard split. He has short legs thus reach top speed quicker. That's all it means. Although Cam and Wilson ran the same 40 at 4.56, I can guarantee you Wilson's 10 yard split is faster. I don't remember them emphasizing that before. They're looking for anything to make Manziel look respectable.

Why do you think they do that? Is it cause he is white and the media needs to pump up white QB's even if they are truly less football players than their counterparts?

Not necessarily. I think he's a byproduct of Skip Bayless and the media's new quest to find their new T.ebow-like mania. If you watch this video you'll hear Skip mentioning T.ebow and the accosting of Kiper in the background to sell him Manziel.  During this video Kiper was just doing his job but following this video he started moving Manziel higher in his following mocks. Obviously through some 'convincing' in the background they force Kiper and Mcshay to sell their soul 'for the good of the company'. Frankly it's kind of disturbing watching Kiper in this video and hearing him speak now about Manziel. Even to this day he won't admit Manziel is the top QB. Bridgewater is his top QB. He just use the Texans connection to justify Manziel being picked #1 overall. So in future interview he can always say he never said Manziel was the best QB. Don't know how he rationalize the top QB not being selected 1st but he's trying his best company man thing. I can relate to him as far as having your employer making you do things against your moral.

Manziel has a higher career QB rating, completion percentage, yards per attempt, and team winning percentage in the toughest conference in college football than Russell Wilson in lesser conferences.

So the real question is: What the hell were YOU looking at.

      Im not firm on many things football, but this statement or belief or strategy I am 100% for. Full Offseason the goal is to make the playoffs. Week 1, 1000% I want to win. Weeks 2-10,  1000% I want to win. Until the math stats 0.000000000% chance at NO playoffs, I want to win. *Once* there's no chance at the playoffs, I want to 100% lose every game until the end. You are still loser at 2-15 or 5-12, I want to never lose like this again. I want the best value for losing and suffering. Again the only goal is playoffs. Once in the playoffs anything can happen, I want to win the whole dam show. If you happen to lose in the first round, that's perfectly fine and lets work hard this upcoming off-season to get another chance to make them.  This is the ONLY way to play in the NFL. Anyone not understanding this method of strategy, please call your doctor for a visit...

      Purdy's good but at the end of the day you're paying first class money for a business class seat.  It's a big problem with the salary cap.  QBs take most of it whether they are Pat Mahomes or not.

      Purdy saved the 49ers from that three 1st picks for Trey Lance. People forget that. People also forget he should have MVP votes for the 23 season. He's been any where from the 8th(his best/23) to 14th ranked QB, he's legit and guys around top 10 get paid as QBs.....guys in 28th get paid too, he's 4x the QB Trevor Lawrence is and better than BY by miles as well...even without CMC, Samuel(whos a RB playing WE), and half the OL.    *BUT*    You non-believers missed this ultra important mistake that honestly made me reconsider all the praise I gave him. https://www.si.com/nfl/49ers/news/49ers-qb-brock-purdy-throws-blind-40-percent   That's is damming to my case and reset my thinking of his.
