When was the last time the Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears, Pittsburgh Steelers, Oakland Raiders, Dallas Cowboys, or San Francisco 49ers changed their logo or color scheme?

Who the hell cares, I bet Tampa's new logo and helmet looks terrible.

All of those logos you describe are simple, timeless designs. They aren't mid-90s pieces of crap like our old logo was. You can't just let crap be crap for the sake of resisting change.

Most of those teams also went through several updates and changes for decades before their looks were finalized.

yeah all those logos are either a single letter, shape, or at most a circle with some simple shapes and a team name.

our old logo looked like some rad "extreme sports" mascot off a mountain dew can from 1995.  i always thought the graffiti text was unsightly too-it looked like something you'd see on a redneck's bandanna at hickory motor speedway.  i'm not in love with the restyled logo but the new font is a huge improvement.

the same thing is going to happen to that eyesore of a stadium the falcons are building-that thing is going to look dumb as poo in 20 years and it's because most attempts at a "futuristic" look tend to age horribly when that future has actually arrived.  i know there are some people who are in to retro futurism and all that but that's by and large an exception and not the rule.  think about all those dumb looking egg-shaped computers compaq and gateway manufactured in the late 90s and early 2000s that can instantly be dated to that time period and the first thing you think when you see one is "wow look at that piece of poo".

    • I'd hold on to Walker - we have no OT depth at all. Freeling is a block of clay - all the tools are there and he appears to have a great attitude. He needs serious work on his technique to realise his potential though.
    • From my watch last night: They weren't trading out of 19 unless it was a daft offer once Freeling got there. They were clearly antsy to get Hunter - and Minnesota actually called to offer the trade down. They weren't trading out of the third round pick once Brazzell fell to it (and Canales would have been happy with him in the second round). They traded back a lot on Day 3 - even if Morgan 'Babe Ruth'd' it with Lee, Hecht and Wheatley; they clearly weren't the only guys they would have taken at those picks. I'm curious to know which player caused the reaction at the start of day 2 (Dan Morgan): "of course they'd pick him"
    • Watching this confirms that this staff and front office is super high on Monroe Freeling. I wouldn't be surprised if he's gotta a real chance to win the starting LT job in camp. If he does, we can look to flip Rasheed Walker to a contender desperate for tackle help.   As for Ickey I still really like him and wanna extend him but based on how the staff was talking about Freeling it might be time for ickey to start taking some practice sets at guard if he wants to stay here as we are gonna have to have figure out a solution for the contracts of Lewis and Hunt.  My preferred scenario for the Oline in 2027 is Freeling-Ickey-Hech-Lewis-Moton.
