Kiss announced today that the band won't be performing at their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony in April because disputes over the lineup churned up ill will among the members.

Frehley revealed to a New York radio station on Friday night that the original lineup would not be performing at the ceremony, and said that he was not willing to perform alongside the newer members. "I'm not gonna get on the stage with Tommy wearing my makeup. That's absurd," he told Q104.3 FM, according to Blabbermouth.net. In a statement on his own website, Criss said that he and Frehley "have been denied a performance with Gene and Paul for our Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction," and called the situation "disgraceful."

According to the band's statement, however, there was no plan to exclude Frehley and Criss from the performance. "Our intention was to celebrate the entire history of Kiss and give credit to all members including long time present members Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer, and additionally Bruce Kulick and Eric Carr all who have made this band what it is, regardless of the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame's point of view," the statement said. "It is over 13 years since the original lineup has played together in make-up and we believe the memory of those times would not be enhanced. Contrary to claims made through the media we have never refused to play with Ace and Peter."

One last time for the Original KISS to play together. oh well.

They did it before for the Unplugged show, But I guess this is all about the "make-up"...

I saw them live when they did the KISS Alive! tour in 1975 when they were new.

I saw them again in 1996 for their Reunion Tour, which was their highest grossing tour ever. Boy, talk about jumping the shark. This is truly a band that has long overstayed their welcome. They just aren't that good any more.

Always been a big fan. Love the theatrics. Should be the original lineup doing the HoF show. Everyone has their own opinions of what rock n roll is. They deserve credit for being around as long as they have, making money, and influencing tons of artists along the way.

I love Kiss saw them live twice at the North Charleston Coliseum with all the original members

I saw Peter Chris play for the last time with Kiss, after the show in 2000...My dear mother (RIP) made a collage for me she took my ticket stub and news articles and laminated it for me, my mom died and I cant find where she put it,

The entire fiasco is a Gene Simmons production. Give him five minutes and the slightest idea and he'll find a way to market and make money off it. Ace and Criss were done with the whole make-up thing and the shtick that was KISS. They just wanted to grow up and move on while Simmons continues to live in the past.

Honestly, the last time I saw them I was embarrassed.

    • No saying he mostly sucks is saying that he doesn’t suck the minority of the time.   Like if he took 17 tests and had a couple of really good showings and a handful of pretty good scores sprinkled in among the typical sub par results.   Like a golfer who went out and shot an 89.  There will be some real nice shots sprinkled in there but at the end of the day it is still 89.
    • It's worth mentioning... Game 1: Oct 11 in Raleigh. 4-3 OT win with a complete starting lineup. Game 2: Dec 13 in Philly. 4-3 SO win without Jaccob Slavin. Game 3: Dec 14 in Raleigh. 3-2 SO win with a complete starting lineup. Game 4: Apr 13 in Philly. 3-2 SO loss with the AHL roster.  Those early season games were no indication of the Canes team that finished the season. Miller and Ehlers were still trying to figure things out, Nikishin was still a work in progress and the Stankoven line was just another line. Make no mistake, the Canes team Philly will see is nothing close to what they saw at any point in the season. If the top line starts producing, Freddie stays hot and the blue line does what it does, this could be a sweep as well.
    • He is an employee of the team and speaking on the team's official channel. They arent critical of anything ever.
