fug gettleman..........unprofessional as that could have been

Yea fug Gettleman for setting this franchise up in a better spot cap wise in the future.

I guess "We will evaluate everyone" = "Smith is trash, fug him"

I'm sorry you have fallen victim to believing rumors stirred up by the media and even our own "beat writer" Person.

what rumors.......and who the fug is joe person.....

smitty stated most of this himself, that he wasn't alerted of this

and fug the gettleman is setting us up for the future cop out, there are plenty of SUCCESSFUL football clubs that have players retire without having to release them. this guy comes in one year and has half of you forgetting who and what smitty is its a shame.........sorry you can't see there were other options to this situation

I know it isn't a retirement... but let us pause and consider the trash drafted before Smitty:

David Terrell, Koren Robinson, Rod Gardner, Freddie Mitchell, Quincy Morgan, Robert Ferguson, and Chris Chambers.

Only Reggie Wayne and Santana Moss are still playing. Only Wayne has more total yardage and more total TD's than Smitty.

Truly a diamond in the rough of the 2001 draft.

Joe Montana

Jerry Rice

Brett Favre

Emmitt Smith

All players worthy of the Hall of Fame...

All let go by the teams where they had their greatest success.

And they're not the only examples.

DG said it was a tough decision and we are a team in transition. Most teams are in some form of transition ... some more some less. However, this looks more like rebuilding. We kept nobody except Gano and some journeymen linemen.

After a 12-4 season, I guess we weren't a few pieces away from another strong playoff run, in his opinion..

Disappointed that Collins selected the Bucs over us. Would like to know what we offered.

i think we went 12-4 last year in spite of a lot of issues on offense.

Shouldn't have dragged out for so long. Seems like nothing more than sending some kind of message. Bad look all around.

I knew it was going to happen sooner or later, I've already accepted it. Just ready to move on now.

Steve Smith will always be a Carolina Panther as far as I'm concerned. So long Steve.
