They can't be quibling over small contract differences now and leave us in the lurch without any viable options.Really can't recall ever being so confused about the teams gameplan like I am now. They better put ink to paper soon before the walls start tumbling down.

it would serve DG well. though we really need a wr at that level before some of the huddlers start slitting their wrists.

I said in an earlier thread that this "plan" Dollar Tree Dave has...seems to not be going as planned. They lose out on a top OT target, which reportedly chose the Bucs over us on similar contracts, and the rest of our division has improved big time. If they don't sign Nicks, whom they may now have to overpay for, Gettleman is going to have a big poo sandwich served to him steaming hot.

If I were Nicks I wouldn't be too keen on signing a contract with Carolina. You could be cut without explanation and only hear about it on Twitter.

    • I don’t know about floor in a team defense sense but we needed more.  The floor that I am familiar with is our QBs floor and it is so low that every other part of the team needs to be beefed up.     We tried our best to improve these things and I think we did improve the defense and we at least kept the offense  from sinking from no LT.  And ostensibly helped the receivers too.   So we kept a window open that we at least have a chance to improve our record by a game of two.  Which would probably give us the division.

    • Yeah. I am one of. those who think a JAG RB can eat with really good blocking. (Brooks is most important in my mind, in tbe passing game and that is what we’ll lose without him)  There are a lot of aspects to this. The big one that caused us to struggle is Young and his arm scared no one.  Best back, best blocking still cannot defeat a really good defense if they are not forced to respect the pass.  And teams did not.    But, a strong OL and running game Can get us over against weaker defenses.  And if Bryce still doesn’t scare anyone we can still win some games. Like last year  So it is really important to tend to that OL.   Get that straight and see if in his fourth year he can finally back defenses off. That is what if is all about this year to me, on the Bryce front.
