Huddle opinion....who agrees with the complete overhaul we are seeing

What? Now you're reaching.

Bucs had a lot of talent and no coach to do anything with it. Now the have a reputable coach who's been to a Super Bowl and have added significant pieces on both sides of the ball.

Saints are dangerous as long as they have Brees and a decent D. The D was damn good last year and Brees still has weapons.

Falcons added a good run blocker, still have Julio Jones to pair with White and Douglass. They're expected to target a pass catching TE in the draft. We barely got by them in one game last season.

You don't win in March, but all we've done is go backwards so far.

Just because the Bucs have Lovie Smith does not mean all of a sudden young players will perform. They lack a QB, which really is the most important position in today's NFL. Every playoff team had a QB that was either top-tier or young and rising. Their offense will only go as far as the QB position will take them.

I agree that the Saints are dangerous, and I said that I think they will win the division, but they lost Harper, Greer, and Vilma, which will hurt their D a little. Yes, the Saints have weapons, but losing Sproles will hurt their passing attack a little.

The only way I will be worried about the Falcons is if they get Ebron from North Carolina. Outside of that, they lack a RB, and despite the added OLineman, they are shaky at pass protection. We barely got by them in an away game, last game of the season, send off for Tony Gonzalez game. The fact that we even won against a team with nothing to lose, a team that almost beat SF at Candlestick's last game, is impressive to me.

All the moves we have made in additions have been the unsexy, but necessary moves. We have gotten some solid role-players back, and still have some cap space to get guys with, and multiple draft picks to work with.

Is it not too late to reduce that 13 mil? Aka, an extension?

Keeping this front 7 was a good move, I promise you.

You and many other act like the season starts tomarrow

Yeah Carolina has some time to negotiate an extension, hopefully in the 9-10ish million per year range and remove the tag. I am hoping for something like a 4 year- 35 million dollar deal for Hardy, with only 7 or so coming in the first year so we can get 6 million back in cap space

this dude wants CJ money. I bet that's what he turned down when we offered an extension before last season.

Since we are gutting the offense why in gods name is Shula not been canned yet?

It scares the hell out of me to think we may be looking for people to fit his shitty ass system rather than explosive playmakers who stand on their own.

"The Panthers have until July 15 to sign Hardy to a long-term deal. After that date they can't discuss a contract extension until after the season is over." -Charlotte Observer.

He was offered 4 years $32 million and rejected it. Word is he could get about 11-13 million a year elsewhere, but if he stays true to his "hometown discount" he would accept something like 5 years 45 million, which is fair, and better than the deal Kruger got.

    • Nobody on the huddle is saying we have an elite group offensively across the board. They aren't great. They're young. If you are expecting someone to agree with your position of blaming everyone around Bryce Young nearly three full seasons into his career you are going to be left holding the bag save for a handful of people who act like they are paid to defend his honor. Bryce Young is not a guy who has had to claw and fight his way into starting jobs in football. He's had the best to work with and been gifted roles since he was a teenager. The Panthers have one of the youngest rosters in the league and with us needing an infusion of young defensive talent in the upcoming draft we're only going to get younger. We need a QB who possesses the ability to elevate those around him. If you can't agree with me on that then there's nothing further to discuss.
    • All Bryce and the Panthers had to do was split with the Saints and a rookie QB. The bar was so low. They even had a whole bye week to prepare. The time for singing kumbaya was before that game. Anyone still talking about Bryce earning a second contract 43 games into his career is living a fantasy. He might get one from the Tepper owned Panthers but he's damn sure not earned it.
