Has Mikell signed anywhere yet? I have looked, but couldn't find the story or remember the team.

 

i don't think so.  usually when a former panther signs someplace else, there's a huddle freakout.  there's been many of these this off season, but not one about mikell yet.  players like him and wharton will be signed right before the season i'd guess, unless of course they retire instead.

Lester is a play maker. Mikell is pretty damn boring, but that's not always a bad thing. But yeah, I agree. Lester has wayyy more upside.

As someone said, we can't cut him until he's cleared without an injury settlement, which would almost certainly be more than we would be on the hook for if he is cut.  So, most likely, we are just waiting until he is cleared to release him.  In the meantime, they are thinking of ways to get some use out of him just in case his injury heals perfectly and he is willing to take a big pay cut...also, they have to say something when asked.

I've seen rumors that the safeties in this draft aren't as highly regarded as mock drafts indicate. Both Clinton-Dix and Pryor could slip towards the end of round 1, and some think Pryor could last until early round 2. So what if we are targeting one of these guys? Rivera DID want Mark Barron and Calvin Pryor is very much in that mold. Could be an interesting thing to watch play out. Round 1 is really going to be crazy I think.
