okay so i just responded to a reply in the thread "Charles Davis is a retard" thread

the reply was:

"4 Receivers, 2 OLineman, 1 CB -- SUPER BOWL"

my response:

"give me 4 OL, 2 WR, and a CB and THEN we can talk SUPER BOWL"

this got me thinking... what might a draft with 4 OL, 2WR, and a CB look like... so i got on fanspeak and, using the WalterFootball school of thought, i did just that. i must say... it worked out perfectly. it seems to be the closest mix of ideal and realistic one could hope for. here is the mock:

Round 1: WR Marquise Lee

Round 2: OT Cyrus Kouandjio

Round 3: OT Antonio Richardson

Round 4: OT Seantrel Henderson

Round 5: CB Phillip Gaines

Round 6: WR Jalen Saunders

Round 7: OT Justin Britt

i am actually extremely pleased with this draft. i would be perfectly happy if Gman went OT happy (or even OL happy and drafted a guard instead of a 4th OT). what say you O Huddle? if you would have drafted someone different, tell us who and why.

That "Charles Davis is a retard" thread will down in history as one of the best threads ever on Carolinahuddle.com.

This is very, very close to what I think will actually happen when we draft. I'm beginning to think (especially since JJones put it out there today) that we're leaning heavily towards Moses, even though I think that he's more of a RT than a LT. Then, being able to land Matthews in the 2nd will be hard, but if you think about it, it's very possible. Or, replace Matthews' name with Latimer/Robinson/Adams, then you have a really close snapshot of what our draft could look like.

    • It's not surprising, but it's still surprising that many of these guys don't manage their money in such a way that provides them and their families a better lifestyle than most for the rest of their lives without even working a nine-to-five. I can't imagine making over a 100 mil for a decade and ultimately ruminating about supporting my family due to financial issues.
    • That why i mentioned the KC dynasty. Those three different playoff loses were not Allens fault, in fact 1-2 plays and Bills win. KC just have better players and better coaches and more luck.  Defense-wise, Bills have been trying to crack the Reid-Halhomes magic. Its near impossible with rules and KC home field advantage. Spags has started to force the league in naming him the best DC in NFL history. I agree if you take away Bill bielacheat.... Add in Andy Reid the best QB coach and brilliant play designer/play-caller, I mean that's too much for one QB to over-come on his own.  Just trolling or not, bad is bad scot. Allen is legit as any one QB has ever been.
    • Logically speaking, every trade is different. Speaking from experience, I'm extremely gun shy about trading away future first rounders 😕
