Donte Moncrief has visited and worked out with Panthers

I think the Panthers have met with and worked out damn near every WR in this draft, which they needed to do.  I like it.

The staff and front office realize the needs that we have and I think they fully plan on addressing them.  We have big needs at OT and WR and we've met with and worked out a bunch of guys at both.

I really think, with the seemingly thorough research we've done for this draft at WR, that when our pick comes in the first, it will come down to overall grades put on by Gettleman.

I've liked Moncrief for a while. Kid is good. If we do go OT in the first, then him in the 2nd would make me happy.

If we DO double up on WRs in the first two rounds, expect that Gettleman told our distinguished OC that we're going to run more spread and he's going to like it or be fired. Only explanation.

I'm thinking they go OT regardless of who's there at 28. Moses will be there at 28, so if that's who they want they'll get him.

But at 60 I'm hoping one of the WR's in that 2nd group is still around. Moncrief is one of them and I'd be happy if he was the pick at 60

    • This is what I mean. I am not some huge BY fan. I honestly don't look at QBs the way a lot of you guys do. Right or wrong, I've always looked at them as just another cog in the machine. Didn't want BY or even a trade up for a QB in 2023. We saw in the Super Bowl how important the rest of the team is on any given Sunday. Now... so PFF, who has no reason to prop up BY, says he's first in 2 stat lines and Panthers "fans" are arguing why it's either wrong or a made up stat just to make BY look good. Even though they have multiple stat lines where he's literally last in. Like 32nd in the NFL. Some he's even lower than 32. Take a step back. Try to objectively self analyze. This is just not sensible.  Same thing I see with other teams' fans and their QBs though. We analyze every single throw on every single play. For every other QB, most here are only using highlights to judge. Makes a difference. We saw Stafford miss throws when they played Carolina - both games. We saw Love throw crap up when they played Carolina. We saw Dak miss throws when they played Carolina - and Pickens was putting on a SHOW. We saw Josh Allen win a game with 163 yards passing against Carolina, but if BY does it he's crap and can't pass for 200 yards. Gents... come on.
    • None of us think we're contenders this season but no reason we're doomed to 5 or 6 wins either. Dan has to have another 2025- like draft class and at least 2 key free agent signings. We're not Seattle but they don't win without 5 starters from their last 2 draft classes and Darnold and Lawrence in free agency.  Alas,  we'll have to wait one more season for a QB upgrade.
