Panthers Fan 69 started following Canes vs Vegas 10pm
-
The Jets defense is legit! I don’t know that the stats would have been much better with everyone healthy on the oline. Their offense though, I’ve watched Panthers football since the beginning and even with our trashiest trash was much better than what the jets have…somehow!
-
The OL played well considering the circumstances. Its rather impressive considering. Of course missing your two guards will have affects.
-
This is what happens when passes thrown in his direction are actually on target. Everyone is ignoring that Bryce was throwing ducks to him all season. They're finally starting to rediscover their chemistry.
-
you got to love the logic of the old " there's no hope for an upgrade of the position so lets not even try." Yeah ride or die with tiny tim or bust. that makes complete sense.
-
Maybe I should go back and cherry pick past posts from you.. For example, when you were claiming Jalon Walker should be the pick and how he could rival Abdul Carter as the first defensive player off the board.. Give me a break.. This was always Bryce Young’s year to see if he is the guy or not. Andy Dalton went in and made 2 good throws vs the Jets to XL that Young most likely doesn’t make. What mystery backup QB would you rather have right now that wouldn’t have required sending future draft picks for?

cranky started following $153,000,000 missing yesterday
-
The Panthers have the most expensive O-line after signing Hunt and Lewis to massive contracts and they have been worth every penny. Problem is they were both missing yesterday and it showed. Pass blocking was abysmal as was the run blocking. They couldn't even get 1 yard on a fourth and one with Rico. It didn't help that Canales continued to call the same conservative stuff over and over. Of course some of it can also be attributed to the Jets' front seven. As a reminder, they held Bo Nix and the Broncos to almost the exact same numbers last week (168 / 78 vs the Panthers 198 / 125). So maybe it's not all on Bryce Young or Andy Dalton.
-
Of course it's more juice than Bryce.
-
By the time Andy came in there were apparently 20 mph gusts on the field.
-
Exhausted? Did you see the 33 yard throw to Legette? Dude has zero juice left in his arm.
-
Our win woke Atlanta up. I imagine the second meeting will be different. Miami sucks, their coach may not have a job next week. Of those three Dallas was the only team I didn't think we had a chance of beating, but we did. On the flip side we lost to a pretty bad Cardinals team, so it washes.
-
Let's be honest, both Dalton and Bryce sucks. However, Dalton can definitely replicate Bryce's 150 yds a game. That's not the problem. The problem is Canales will get cute and have Dalton throw the ball 40+ times even though the Bills have the 31st ranked run defense. If the gameplan isn't to run Dowdle and Chuba 40+ times, then we already lost before the game started. The people saying we're gonna lose because Bryce is out is hilarious, acting like he's been the main catalyst for our 3 game winning streak lol Yeah, we more than likely lose, but it won't be because Bryce was out, it will be because Canales went full retard like yesterday.
-
Dalton always gives us one great game every year since he's been here. And that one great game has always come when he is inserted into the lineup due to Bryce either being injured or playing bad. I expect Dalton to throw 400+ yards and 4+touchdowns. Rico and Chuba will combine for 300 yards rushing and 2+ touchdowns. We win in a blowout.
-
Would love to see what Horn can do deep with somebody who can chunk the ball 50+ yards
-
Let me add, that that's exactly what he had a good game, not a "great" game. People are throwing around the word "great" like athletes throw down Gatorade on the sidelines every weekend.
-
No doubt. I was at the game watching it and it looked like a fly ball to the infield. It got in the air and just hung up. XL tracked it like a shortstop.
-
You need to go outside and get some fresh air.

Sorry, I don't get the "mental" thing at all. If his football IQ was as low as you say it is, then he wouldn't be out there blocking as well as he is. It is quite possible that he's been pressing due to not really being in the flow of the game because Bryce doesn't look for him on the regular. His strength, at the moment, seems to be as a mismatch in the slot on crossers and slants in my opinion, and for whatever reason (maybe height) Bryce is more likely going to chuck it to the sidelines. So, in a sense, maybe Legette and Bryce aren't a good pairing, and that gives the appearance that Legette is not all there. Lord knows that Bryce doesn't seem to be able to hit receivers in stride so they can maximize YAC. But anyway...all that being said, I thought that X would be more than just a possession type of guy. So we'll see where it goes from here. I'm not like some, who appear not to see the value in a guy who can kill you like that, and kill you just as well as guys that do their best work on the outside, but, X is going to have to be able to consistently hands-catch on the run and separate better at the top of the route if he really wants to unlock his potential as an all-around receiver. If Bryce could consistently and accurately hit receivers, especially in seams on the slants and crossers, it would open up Legette and the offense. Just my opinion, but I think he causes all the receivers to press to varying degrees, and causes the coaches to call plays that have built-in limitations, but I could be wrong about that.

The best compliment I can give him at this juncture is at least he hasn't been turning the ball over lately like he had been before. That's it. I really wish there was objectively much more I could say about how much of a dynamic game changer our #1 pick is heading into midway of his third season as a starter. But there's just no meat on the bone there. Just have to accept reality and see what decisions this franchise makes going forward down the line.
-
The easy schedule is over so are the gifted wins. I'm just glad I can watch some NFL football and not think it's college BS sunday. There will be at least 1 good team on the field after so many trash games of bottom teir football.
-
I‘m sure there were factors making it look worse, but that was 100% XL on that catch. It’s good to see him have a good game.

Give me Jameis and let's get weird
