  1. Past hour
  2. I mean yes it’s obvious we over drafted the guy but people are acting like he is the worst WR in the history of the NFL. For reference I saw this online and I don’t think Bryce threw him but maybe 1 catchable ball beyond the line of scrimmage. https://streamable.com/lhyl3l
  3. So it’s gonna be one of those years where we sign a garbage guy to the practice squad on Monday and on Sunday he’s going up against a top interior lineman? Can’t wait to see how this plays out.
  4. Anybody who will actually admit to being a Panther's fan, is a real fan. Why would anyone claim this steaming pile as their team if not?
  5. To your point, it's best to build from the inside out. Strong line on offense allows you to operate and helps impose your will. Strong line on defense allows you to muddy up games, grind out wins and punch above your weight class. We don't do any of that.
  6. Great example. What has Sam Darnold done since we got rid of him? I'm not saying we should have kept him but it turns out he has a lot of talent but our coaching staff at the time were morons. Same with Baker. I've got a good friend who is a diehard Browns player and would loooooooovvve to have Baker back. Should have never traded him but that's the Browns. I don't want us to be the Browns. This are all instances of teams/fans that give up on players too soon, don't see how coaching and situations effect a QB's development. If Darnold had gotten drafted by a team with a decent coaching staff he may have figured it out sooner.
  7. Well, to be fair, not sure I ever actually even predicted we'd take him, just that we should because he'd be a stud at a position we haven't been able to fill properly since we lost Smitty (and kinda DJ), which he's clearly proving me to be correct about.
  8. I'm of the opinion that your O-Line is the foundation of your entire team. It covers all manner of sins. Is our QB group weak? Yes, but they can look a lot better when they have protection. Are our running backs world beaters? No, but they can run through holes if the O-Line creates them. Is our defense bad? Yes. Legendarily in the history of the NFL. But the an offense that's able to sustain drives and doesn't ask them to constantly start on short fields can help that immensely. I can't think of a single area of the team that wouldn't be playing better if we had a stout O-Line.
  9. I am not that worried over how they will do if they can stay healthy. Icky is a run blocking fool. Lewis him and Mays ought be able to do something.
  10. https://x.com/PanthersAnalyst/status/1967641686722650493 This is the play that has me scratching my head and saying what was Bryce looking at. 1st and 10 and he has Chuba wide open in the middle of the field where he can easily pick up a first down and more. What does Bryce do? Throw it where no receiver is and gets an intentional grounding.
  11. lol guess gonna start paying attention to college football to see who we should draft top 5
  12. You know....I don't think it's even close to our biggest weakness even with those two done. I mean, think how bad some of our other units actually are.
  13. Show me anyone who has been as bad as Bryce through 30 games and turned into a serviceable player much less a star. Getting 30 games while being as terrible as he has been is a monumental achievement in and of itself.
  14. Canales has really soured on me with all his coach speak and Rah rah mentality. But who wants to coach this dumpster fire with a bad qb
  15. Yup. I'm exactly as dedicated to this team as they are to putting a quality product on the field. Life is too short to spend getting upset about garbage. I'm a fan. I'll (probably) always be a fan. But because I am not submitting myself to weekly torture doesn't mean my fandom is less pure than anyone else's.
  16. It a message board so I can see the difference in what we are talking about. Quote by 45cat: "Yes, but it's only in these circumstances where he thrives, that's the problem He can't be a true franchise QB and wait until the game is out of reach when the defense goes into prevent defense to finally flip on his baller switch." The circumstances where he thrives being only times when the game is out of reach and garbage time. That is the lie. It was 45cat who defined his play in garbage time as "turning on his baller switch". I don't think I've even given the illusion that Bryce "can" be a franchise QB if he only "flips on his baller switch" during garbage time. I don't think anyone has ever said that. The whole point of what he is saying is that you can't give Bryce credit for garbage time. I agree. I just happen to think it's hyperbole to say that is the only time he's played well. There are more than 2 choices of "He sucks, cut him. Worst QB ever" and "Franchise QB". I've consistently said over and over that despite his bad play, he has only shown a ton of improvement overall in the last 10 games from last year. The difference from game 1 last year to game 18 was something very few fans even thought possible. People saying he was too small and would never hold up in the NFL. Dude can take a shot. People saying he doesn't have the ability to throw down the field. That great pass in game 1 from this year that Nola should have caught in the endzone was 43 yards in the air. He can make all the throws. They said he can't throw when pressured. Was one of the top QB's under pressure over the 2nd half of last season. They said he doesn't throw deep. Had one of the highest deep pass attempts in the league over the 2nd half of the season. They said, Oh, well, he can but he's not good at it. Of those deep passes he was one of the most accurate despite a high drop rate by his receivers. People keep saying it's been 3 years. That's enough time to see he sucks. In reality it's been 2 years and 2 games. There is no way I'll ever believe his rookie year didn't set him back. No matter what was said it was a horrible situation on every level. We are trying to come out of and build from that Frank Reich year which I hope was the bottom of the barrel. I've never seen a worse situation for a rookie QB, maybe for any QB. I don't think it's that much of a stretch after how bad that year was for any players development to set it aside and say that year doesn't paint an accurate picture. I'm not even arguing for Bryce in so much as I'm arguing to have more patience and quit with the hyperbole and over the top statement or outright lies. It's only because a handful of the same people have hated Bryce since he was drafted and have rarely given him credit for what he has done and can do. It's the lack of an accurate representation of Bryce and our situation and the development of players. 2021 - It was Derrick Brown's 2nd year, week 11. He was benched. Calls to trade him. He sucks. The Panthers are cursed. Fast forward a few years and he has developed into one of the best players on the team and a Captain. I don't know if Bryce will spiral and completely bust or if it's just a rocky road to stardom like so many players before him. We have very little to lose and everything to gain by staying the course right now.
  17. Sure let’s do better. I want a bad ass defensive guy. Vrabel would have made me happy. Finesse teams do offense. And we are damned sure trying to do finesse. Can’t even do that right, we have nothing going.
  18. Remember when everyone said we should upgrade C this offseason. Yeah Morgan is an idiot.
  19. Blind on one eye, can't see out the other
  20. Yeah. And I knew we were going to be bad for years messing with lil buddy college all star. When they kill your hopes for three years at one whack, it is tough.
  21. I just think it's time to do better. There isn't much in the rear view i miss in the Tepper eror
