  2. The Bryce curve in action. They root for the lil fella so hard. It isn’t that he didn’t play well, that just really seems inflated compared to some of these others.
  3. I was just talking to Artimus Pyle at the grocery store, might as well post up one of my favorite songs of all time
  4. I think Ickey's injury sealed the fate of our first-round pick--assuming free agency does not change the situation. I think we draft OT, Edge. In free agency, LB, WR
  5. I am a Gamecock fan (dad was playing for them when i was born-its genetic). I am against the Gamecocks on our roster. I did not mind Wharton (good pick) and Munneryln was a good value. Norwood? Nope. I digress.... I want XL gone, and I want Horn traded. Horn gets a lot of penalties and is apparently stupid. Bad contract. We overpaid a CB to play soft zone.
  6. Its hard to get College open. It seems later in the year though he started to get it a bit and did take a few more shots.
  7. I’d only trade down for multiple second round picks. A talented player will fall to us at #19. This draft is deep for where we are picking at #19.
  8. Thats right. I knew it was mark something. You basically knew exactly what you were gonna get. Even on kickoff he'd basically get to the 25 or 30 and get back on the bench.
  9. Yeah the offense that went 3 and out the drive before we lost the lead. The offense that threw 4 straight incompletions to end the game after we lost the lead. The problem is they didn't have a good enough opportunity to be the hero because of Evero. Got it.
  10. I like the Tremayne idea. A good special team player and he has some good hands. He was targeted 17 times and grabbed 14 balls for 160--that is nearly half the yardage XL had in 123 passing snaps. Legette had 363 yards in 428 passing snaps (59 targets, 35 catches). Considering that he had just under half the yardage in about 1/4 of the snaps, and when he was on the field it is likely that there were 4 WRs and not 2 or 3--he outperformed Legette.
  11. A nice example of statistics confirming what we watched go down. It didn’t seem to matter if we had them in 3rd and 15. They are getting it. Every fuging week.
  12. I found one comment to be interesting. he mentions Simmons, who has busted as a LB, as a 6' 4" 238 lb safety. I think they will have him drop 20 lbs and possibly try him at ..... Free Safety ish. Reason? he has shown instincts on special teams and he ran a 4.39 at the combine in 2020. Why not?
  13. Whimsical when someone starts a thread and self owns in the first post
  14. Yep. 2 most important positions on offense and it looks like they could potentially have gotten both in a single draft. Hard to argue with that.
  15. The panthers blitzed on 3 of the last seven plays. It was Rozeboom and you can argue he shouldn’t be on the field but still the touchdown throw was a great throw great catch against good defense agains the boundary where the tight end also somehow defied the laws of physics. They practice too this was after horn went out the series before and I think Cherelus but I can’t be sure I just don’t understand what people expect in that situation. All out blitz every play? This isn’t madden. you can argue we should have used timeouts, but a lot of that is based on where they are on the field. They scored from just outside the 20. Panthers call a timeout then the rams get to change their personnel. Panthers have the personnel advantage (in theory) in that situation, and you can make the argument you don’t want to give them a chance to change. the rams just made an insane play. regardless, if you want more timeouts called, that’s on Canales, not evero.
  16. Simplistically looking at it we should have finished 8th. Picking 8th and all. I would bet it never works out like that. I think they did a great job too.
  17. If we don't sign a quality vet and draft a developmental QB I will retract my statement.
  18. I like him but I would worry a little with burnout with Tomlin.
  19. The first 6 games of the season had TMac with 0 NFL experience and XL with his 54% catch rate as the number 1 and 2 receivers. They combined for 46/82 catches (56.1%), 539 yards (11.72 yds /rec ) and Young had 11 TDs and 8 TOs. The last 6 games had a more experienced TMac and Coker as the number 1 and 2 receivers and they combined for 49/69 catches (71 %), 732 yards (14.94 yds/rec) and Young had 11 TD’s and only 3 TO’s. Some people around here believe a QBs’ performance works in a vacuum. It doesn’t. No doubt a lot of Young’s inconsistencies are his own fault but he has shown improvement since Coker returned and started getting more playing time. That with the fact TMac will have an entire year of experience means there should be a lot more games like Saturdays’ next year.

  21. These stats don't mean anything. It doesn't correlate to winning the actual football game at all. Bryce played better than Caleb Williams according to stats but Willams won. Jordan Love played better than Bryce but lost. Everyone is so focused that one player makes the whole team. Yes the QB is the most important position, but there are 21 other guys who influence the game too.
  22. I know... I'm curious what exactly the OP thinks this means. He had a decent game, as did a number of quarterbacks. Not all of them won their games, heh. Ultimately his season was pretty bad lol
