  1. Past hour
  2. He wasn't subject to waivers, maybe it was all part of a grand plan!
  3. Collect prospects is the way to go for a team that is years away from a deep run.
  4. well, Carolina was in theory on the right track. They hired Dave. Seemed to make an agreement they would move on from a QB who 100% doesn't fit what Dave does. They slammed the door on Bryce Young after 2 a mere 2 games and the table was set. But in typical Carolina fashion (much like the Wilks in season tank job)......they can't do anything right. Despite how improbable the rise from the dead was....Carolina allowed it to happen. My avatar will never change.
  5. Sometimes the salary in exchange for vet leadership is worth the cost. Now that AT is gone, I guess….poo I don’t know who the veteran leader is.
  6. I know, just doubling down. They are gonna run out of excuses yet again under Tepper's perpetually sinking ship
  7. Agreed but it makes some sense. TMac is going to be a focus on the offense, XL should be freed up in the Z, and Coker is young and promising. They all need reps
  8. Great they traded the only reliable pass catcher from last season
  9. When youre limited by the people who will actually take the job because your owner has the track record he does, you end up with the Carolina Teppers.
  10. we are the worst run org in all of professional sports. So it actually makes total sense. and Dave's scheme doesn't value what Hunter Renfrow does. Nor what BY does well. The world of random parts mashed together will continue in Carolina and somehow it's the players' fault when it's really the braintrust who just doesn't know how to get it done. so expect another season of WRs being largely covered. Bryce being near the top in bad pass % because his play style/strengths and the scheme don't fit together....and meh O.
  11. When I think about guys to tutor WRs, David Moore is not who I'm looking at and thinking he's someone I want my guys to be like.
  12. Great QB's elevate those around them.
  13. If that's the case he should have made this clear to them back in January or February.
  14. Its simple. Keep theilen instead of cutting him and getting nothing to be able to get back Renfrow.
  15. We dont know what went on behind the scenes. It's possible Thielen played the "I'll just retire if I don't get traded" card
  16. He was a crutch but I don't know where the better options were. Let XL drop it? Try an easy-to-cover Tremble? Find Coker wide open on the bench? Dump off to Hubbard short of the sticks?
  17. Probably some of both. I think we always had some leverage unless behind the scenes he had become quite vocal about wanting to leave. It's not like he was attempting to hold out or anything crazy. It's objectively pretty good value for an aging but still effective veteran in his last year or two of his career.
  18. Woa there now Pointing out reasonable challenges that players face is regarded as "making excuses" and "carrying the water" around these parts.
  19. I think its clear Theilen wanted out as soon as the Vikings came calling. I'm glad we got as much as we did for an aged wr who was definitely retiring at seasons end. I feel like he was a crutch for Bryce anyway. Bryce would throw to AT when better options were available.
  20. Agreed but if the eighth overall pick WR can't step up and be a big player, there are bigger problems at play.
  21. This is what annoys me. Why don't you do a solid for a franchise that you played for and gave you the GM job instead?
  22. I do wonder what changed and when though. Thielen went from being a big Bryce believer to lowkey talking up JJ McCarthy and calling him the future face of the league before training camp. Doesn't sound like a ringing endorsement.
