I wouldn't say the Patriots are easy. They are playing very good football right now. They easily outplayed the Steelers but could'nt stop turning the ball over. That should be the most difficult of the 4

Baker asked and Steve let him. He didn’t fit the scheme McAdoo and Wilks changed to. HOWEVER- I have to say I get really tired of the Wilks fan crew on here. He’s from Charlotte and blah, blah, blah. -The defense regressed in 2017 under him when McDermott left and he went to Arizona and failed miserably. -Rivera could have brought him back as DC but didn’t and even chose to stick with Washington over bringing him back. So he went to Cleveland and failed there too. -Everyone forgets how scared he coached. He was more conservative than Fox and Rivera. -The defense actually got worse with him and Holcombe after Snow left. -He lost the game in Tampa for the division, punting in FG range, not going for it on 4th and short, not adjusting coverage and getting beat deep. OH, and let’s not forget signing Josh Norman but continuing play CJ Henderson and Keith Taylor despite them getting cooked all game. -Right now his defense is statistically worse than Evero’s and Ulbrich had that group looking good last season. Wilks wasn’t a great coach, Rhule was just that bad that somebody at Wilks level could win a few games with a few changes.

We can swap Nick Scott for free for him, right?...
-
Texans are a train wreck right now - it will soon become a question of whether they finish worse than the Titans or not. Chiefs very well could - they still have an elite coach, elite QB, and very good defense
-
Corners have definitely played great so far this year. Talent was never the question for Horn; it's whether he can stay healthy or not

How many opponent coaches have we caused to get fired over the years?

total lack of situational awareness too at the end of the half by a WR as time ran out on them (it was FG range) It would have been close but it looked like he could of made it out bounds if he actually attempted it. but the QB and playcaller seemed to also lack the situational awareness there too -
Just keep staying healthy. When healthy he is absolutely one of the best in the business. He is crucial to our defense.

this thread is about our yards per play. So it by nature is going to be Bryce heavy talk given the ball is in his hands every snap and he is the main driver. This ain't a Jaycee Horn thread being hijacked where Bryce is catching strays. if folks don't like hearing Bryce Young debates....go start a thread on our special teams, or defense or endzone color. O threads are just flat out going to be Bryce Young talk.

I agree T Mac has to climb the ladder on short patterns.

Linebackers in the 1st is a NO from me. That said I was on board with Walker. Also Jack Campbell was on my wish list.

I mean you know CJGJ has a big mouth. I’m sure that is the biggest factor. I’d take him over Scott though…
-
So their offense is the worst in the NFL, and they cut a safety? Must be something behind the scenes.
-
…and will probably get left off the pro bowler list. SMH.

Speaking of the Texans...

CanadianCat started following Jaycee Horn

Just an appreciation thread.. Dude is covering so well you hardly see him on the TV copy.. they just dont want to throw his way. Only 6 receptions allowed all year.. plus one INT. One of the best in the game.

panthers offense 30 of 32 in yards per play

Honestly, the number of “elite” quarterbacks in the NFL is diminishing each year. Father Time has caught up with some who are hanging on for a payday. -

How much scheming do you think a playcaller can do with a limited QB? What do you think they can do thats gonna lead to 9-10 wins?? -

Make a thread about it. No one is going to talk about Bryce Young in a Mike Jackson thread. -
Penix absolutely got worse later in the game, but early in the game there were several throws that didn't look like he and the WR were on the same page. Like there's bad throws then there's the qb throwing a different route. maybe the headsets were off in the first half and penix had just melted down by the second half

Yeah, but you projecting things not said. I didn't say PJ Walker would win more games. I specifically said he would be bad. But PJ Walker's bad is just a far more entertaining version of bad and most importantly.......the threat of PJ Walker ruining the next season wouldn't be on the table (which it is for Bryce). We hired Canales and we all should of known what he was. He told us. If you are wanting some creativity and great scheme you are barking up the wrong tree. You need a QB that can play within what the O asks. This whole notion that no one can do better than Bryce but Pro Bowl level talent is just silly. That's what people are tired. Josh Allen would be 3-0 here. Proof is in the pudding. Take the INSANE difference between Cam and Jimmy with merely largely a TE upgrade.

Listen, I get it. You think Bryce is bad. I might think hes bad too, but we know your opinions, its crazy to push them on every single post regardless of what its about. I think Bryce is probably bad too, but I would still like to talk about the team and positives and negatives about all aspects of the team. The worst thing is you guys freak out and get loudest any time we win or Bryce has any kind of decent game. That's when you have to make sure everyone hears your opinion the loudest.
