  1. Past hour
  2. Because it makes sense for the Panthers to move a RB this week. Outsiders just aren't as intimately familiar with the Panthers as we are so they would assume we'd do the logical thing and trade the lesser RB with the worse contract. But this is Tepper's Panthers. We know that doing the logical thing is rarely on the table.
  3. Yeah I understand that. Just pointing out how far salaries have come in 11 years. If only the rest of American salaries worked that way.
  4. I would be highly skeptical Rico is worth more to another team than us right now. Chuba makes more sense for us to trade.
  5. If we do, we're officially giving up our very dim playoff hopes. I don't think its' a terrible idea. He's probably not staying after this year. His value is red hot. If we wanted to move a piece to a contender, now is definitely the time. ...But I kinda think I'd rather have him.
  6. It'd be the most Panthers thing ever though to end up trading Rico to the Pats after they call to ask about Chuba assuming we wouldn't want to trade Rico for the same price they were willing to pay for Rico. Conversation like... Hey, we wanted to call to ask about the possible availability of Chuba. Well, maybe what were you thinking? Say... a 4th? Well, we really like Chuba. Not sure we'd take a 4th... what about Rico? A 4th is all we want to part with. Yeah, Rico for a 4th. That's what we're offering. Oh wow! That's WAY better than what we were thin... I mean, yeah I guess we could do that if you insist on moving Chuba *sound of raucous cheering and bottles popping in the background*
  7. He's too good to play for the panthers. We should trade him for a 6th or something.
  8. There were Chuba Hubbard rumors everywhere yesterday. One “insider” claimed he was a done deal to the Patriots. You can’t believe anything trade wise this week. Everyone is trying to be like Rickey
  9. not sure there is such a thing as good return for a RB. It's just too easy to find runners for teams to give up a lot.
  10. Hopefully he immediately moves to QB 2, and QB 1 if Bryce can't go this Sunday
  11. It just makes me question these personnel decisions even more. one would think that QB isn't the most important position on the team . …or that this team has a small of frame QB by anyone’s measure …there are 17 games in a season …why are they surprised he got hurt and they are unprepared After they made a prior decision to keep a declining dalton, ditch the long term, not great Jack Plummer and he is replaced with so poor of a project that he isnt viewed as even 3rd string what are they doing
  12. Okay, tinfoil hat time, but this seems as good a place as any. Don't you think it's possible Canales was saving Rico's carries for winnable games? You're starting Andy Dalton against the Bills. Is that really the game you want risk injuring your star running back by giving him 20+ carries? Yeah, I'd feed Chuba too, and keep Rico healthy for Green Bay when you're starting QB is back.
  13. I thought this was what you were alluding to in your awkward Andy Dalton thread but I figured maybe you had just gotten liquored up. You're actually serious? You're really going to trivialize the actual racism our only MVP in franchise history Cam Newton endured despite being rookie of the year and changing the culture of this franchise just so you can bafflingly incorrectly posture about people wanting a white quarterback because our #1 pick who was billed as a generational pro ready talent has been anything but that? Pathetic.

  15. Yes, with a decent line, almost any NFL caliber RB can be a 1,000 yard rusher. We've got talent waiting in the wings and it's a position we are pretty deep at this season. I like Chuba, but I don't imagine I'd regret trading him while he had value.
  16. About 75% of the scrubs on that upcoming FA list would do just fine.
  17. Go a head and IR Dalton too. It's almost like they should have taken the QB #2 spot a little more seriously in the offseason.
  18. Which one is backup and which one is the emergency third QB?
  19. I just think Chuba is not 100%. I'm not advocating for him or Dowdle, but Chubba had over 1110 yds total in 23, over 1300 last year, and was a top ten back both of those years. And not to mention he was doing it with a team that no passing game at all, and a mediocre OL. Just saying... Chubba is above average when healthy. But I want to make it clear, I do think DC not giving Rico the majority of carries the last few weeks after the tear he was on, is a fireable offense.
