  1. Past hour
  2. Geno smith and baker mayfield were both considered busts on their first team.
  3. It’s important to remember he wasn’t on the team that drafted Bryce young. it’s important to remember he hasn’t made a single excuse when things have gone wrong he turned someone that people were saying was the worst first pick of all time into a playoff qb. That’s a start I think the best thing he ever did was give up play calling. He’s not Vince Lombardi. Focus on managing the team. One you master that, then you can take play calling back if you want. But until then you are a head coach first. A play caller should be second
  4. No he's pretty much said he wanted his whole career played in Milwaukee up until this year
  5. I don't even follow the NBA and it feels like this guy has been talking about being traded imminently for like five years now.
  6. Not really bridges and grant Williams and another piece or two plus whatever picks they want. I honestly am not sure if bringing him in would stunt growth for miller and kon. If they were part of the trade I wouldn't do it
  7. Today
  8. I think they should. He basically want s to go to a contender, with him the hornets are. He also expressed admiration for Kon at the all star game, I think he would like to come here. The trade part is the tricky part. We have enough 1sts it's the money thats hard to work out
  9. Arsenal did you no favors. Cltfc and UFC tonight. Tailed this UFC guy I follow on a 13 leg, if the first 6 or 7 hit I'll probably cash it out.
  10. The 4th best OT can absolutely be better than the 2nd CB or even the first DT. Hell the consensus 2nd best CB didn’t play last year and there’s only 3 with first round grades. It’s possible 0 DT go in round 1 as well.
  11. I enjoy being truthful. Although that means being unbiased. Which most on here are incapable of being unbiased.
  12. It looks like the Bucks and Giannis are headed for a divorce. He says he's ready to play and the Bucks say that he has told them he isn't. It really doesn't matter except that it likely means the end for Giannis in Milwaukee. He's 31 years old, but still an elite producer. So, as GM, would you go after him this offseason? Remember, the Hornets have two 1st round picks this year and potentially THREE first round picks next year. What would a trade look like?
  13. I agree with you, if all things are equal--assuming we are on the same page as to what that means. If a DT and OT are there at 19 and you have them equal, which do you take? The DT would be rotational and get 25 snaps a game or so, and the OT is probably a reserve for most of the season. What if Walker plays out of his mind and Ickey comes back strong? To me, there are just too many variables at T and Morgan met the needs for 2 starters. Nothing about that screams lets "go OT in round 1" to me. I could see an Edge or a DT at 19 before I see OT. I could see a TE or S before an OT--and I (personally) would rather have an OT over DT, Edge, TE, or S--but I do not see the logic. In fact, CB is a position that resembles OT--who do we have behind our starters and are we happy with Smith-Wade? A CB would be on the field more than a reserve OT. How is the Walker at LT situation different than the the Bryce situation? He is basically on a 1-year deal and if he is injured, Forsythe becomes Pickett. Would you take Simpson in the draft? Dont get me wrong--I usually agree with you and I get your point. I am an OL guru--but I just do not see this particular group of Tackles making us better than Walker. In addition, I think we can address OT once the Ickey situation clears up. Short arms, poor run blocking, issues with strength--I am simply not impressed with the OTs. For clarity, "developmental" refers to players who are still a year or two away from starting. We are all developmental, but there are prospects who need a season to transition to the pro game. I see 1--maybe 2 OTs who could step into a starting role right now. In college, for example, taking snaps under center requires a different approach than blocking for the shotgun. There is less to learn if you play a position that does not require much adjustment to transition to the NFL.
  14. The natural progression of ANY QB is to take more control of the offense. Which is all Dave said. He doesn't have a narrative to push. He is says what is the natural thing to say in this situation whether it's Bryce, or any other QB. THE THREAD TITLE ALONE TWISTS THE NARRATIVE. so yes, many of you refuse to acknowledge anything other than your screwed perspective, for whatever reason, when it comes to Bryce. Y'all have a great Easter.
  15. Players drafted after 19 in his mock that I would take before the WR: Monroe Freeling OT, Ty Simpson QB, Dillon Thieneman S, CJ Allen ILB. I don't mind that TE in round two but Caleb Lomu OT and Brandon Cisse CB would also be good value. EssentiallySports
  16. Yes. When I mock, I load up on OL, but that first rounder is how you make or break the draft. If we have Walker as a rental swing T because a ready-to-play rookie is on the board. That is different. Like QB and Edge, OTs are already a reach in the draft because they are rare.
  17. Yep, the Panthers powers that be seem desperate to convince themselves he can clear the bare minimum bar of demanding a legit franchise QB contract. Canales seems to be laying the groundwork here of building the case that all of Bryce's shortcomings are still there and even more glaring than you may have thought while his strengths aren't nearly as strong as you had hoped and aren't near enough to make up for the lack of pure physical tools. When you have historically anomalous lack of measurables you need historically anomalous positive intangibles to make up for it. That was always issue with Bryce as a prospect. Like Parcells said when evaluating him, "he better walk on water".
  18. I'm honestly not sure how much "west coast" plays into it. There's a huge difference between Tucson, AZ and Spokane, WA where he spent the previous two decades of his career. Chapel Hill is significantly different than Spokane but way more similar to it than Tucson. You're talking about a pretty significant plane ride to get back home either way. He and his family would be flying private and direct so we're talking about a 3ish hour flight vs. a 5ish hour flight. That's basically a wash. It's not like he went from Gonzaga to another PNW program. Tucson is a dramatic departure from Washington state. Honestly a far bigger departure climatically and scenery wise than Chapel Hill would be.
  19. When asked if he thought he was close to returning to game action, "When you skate just with the goalie coach, it's tough to understand what your level is. Today, Svech scored on me a couple — probably a bad moment for me. I don't know. I'm probably very far from play if he scores on me." God, I love Kucci!
