  1. Past hour
  2. 1st pick was a panic we need a WR for Bryce type of pick - they chose the wrong one. 2nd pick was inexcusable because RB was the one position we didn't desperately need I get the Wallace pick - dude has great athleticism for the LB position. Just has zilcho instincts 4th and 5th round picks look good to me Could care less about 6th and 7th round because those are usually special teamers at best caliber players. Plus we got Coker as a UDFA to negate them. Overall probably a bad draft because of the 1st 2 picks + Wallace looking bad (granted, I think Brooks would have been a good RB if he could stay healthy). I do think Dan did a good job in the 2025 draft though.
  3. "on pace" after one game is kinda silly. Derrick Henry is on pace for over 3000 yards rushing and 17 fumbles. doesn't really matter though. Defenses are going to take Tet away and make Renfrow and XL beat them. He'll get tons of garbage time crossing routes for ten yards though. Hopefully he avoids the Bryce young hospital balls.
  4. This isn't true. He was the backup in New Orleans the year before, and Carolina was kind of in a bidding war with Dallas for him, which is why he got to camp late.
  5. You think it would be better to swap Bryce’s bad play for a 5th round rookie’s bad play? Really?!
  6. And I would have Morgan safer than Canales IMO. Outside of the whiff on XL and taking Brooks when we didn't need a RB, I think Dan has drafted pretty well his 2 years in charge as GM. I'm more concerned with the free agent acquisitions that have mostly been busts, but I'm not sure if those were more coach decisions or Morgan decisions. But I honestly think Canales just isn't a good coach and wouldn't have a problem cleaning house (at least HC, OC, DC, GM) at the end of the season. The only problem is no HC and GM worth a crap are coming to this dysfunctional franchise.
  7. He also threw Renfrow out of another easy TD late in the game. Renfrow should’ve had two easy TDs Sunday, and what a hell of an opening comeback game that would’ve been. The second one almost got HR injured because Bryce threw it over his head and carried him out of bounds where he landed awkwardly. Had he led him upfield, it was a TD. But alas, we have an impostor playing QB.
  8. Barring going 2-15 or worse, I doubt it. I think Evero will be the scapegoat and Morgan/Canales will get 1 more year. I'm sure Tepper will meddle again with which QB we should draft in 2026 and we will likely choose the wrong QB again. Rinse and repeat the 3 years after and we will be back in the same situation in 2029
  9. If this was his first game as a rookie then I would be all for rationalizing this. But it is year 3 and he doesn’t have it. If u had AT he would have had a better game in all likelihood but I think that amounts to putting lipstick on a pig. No matter play out the year and see where you end up which is probably looking for a new QB. Hope I’m wrong but that hope is microscopic at this point.
  10. some of these were legitness
  11. Pick any of the following: -He can't win with these receivers. He would be elite if he had Jamar Chase and Justin Jefferson at WR. -It is all the defense's fault (as we lose the game 20-3) -It's the oline's fault -Bryce would be elite if we still had AT on the team -It was just an off day -All of the above
  12. I've seen enough, clean house. I want the new GM to pick the HC and the HC to pick the QB.
  13. He has had access to exactly such a person (or people) for several years now, but whether he has any inclination to do such a thing is unknown.
  14. big picture went need 2 QBs though this offseason. 100% rebuilt room. We need to find a vet to start and then draft a future QB.
  15. With some people you can at least identify a trend in their mistakes: always too cautious, too reckless, too generous, too stingy, overthinking, impulsive, etc. Sadly, Tepper is one of those people who can make mistakes in every possible manner. (omni-incompetent...or perhaps omnincompetent, if you want to put a word to it) He needs, as he has always needed, someone who actually has a clue making all his decisions for him. There were hints that was going to be Dan Morgan's role now, but is Morgan the right choice for the job? The problem with finding somebody to make good decisions for somebody who consistently makes terrible decisions is that it's still the bad decision maker's decision who he picks to make the good decisions...unless he picks someone else to make that decision, but even then will he make a good decision as to who decides who... Ya know what? I'm tired My Answer: I don't know. At this point I'm.probably just praying for a miracle.
  16. Tepper hires consultants. He just ignores their recommendations because he knows better. The best thing for the team is to let it crash and burn. There's no way to save this season and bring in some street scrub only to win 1 or 2 games max is detrimental to building a better roster. Suck it up buttercup.
  17. I swear to god every time I think of this it makes me want to lisan al gaib BoA stadium
  18. Posted this in 2021. Seems like it's still true today (tl;dr; "it starts with the owner") holding out hope that the appearances of Tepper being hands-off the football operations recently are accurate and that Dan/Dave are doing the best they can - with all the resources they can - to right the ship that they were given
  19. I wish people would stop commenting on trading for a QB. NO. If we get another QB it will likely be via Draft. Regardless, won't happen until off-season. No need to trade for someones backup that will likely give us similar if not worse results, in an attempt to win games that you will all complain about us winning come draft time. Let this season play out no matter how ugly it gets. Jay Z needed 30 years to do something and so will we or however the saying goes.
  20. I posted this under another top (Morgan's drafts), but it applies here. I don't know if the problem is our scouting department, the front office, or both. What has become apparent is that our team is terrible at drafting. Every round we seem pass on players who could fill hole in our roster in favor of players who contribute NOTHING on the field and are often out of the league before their first contract expires. Are the scouts providing good intel but being ignored? Are they giving bad intel and the FO is going on their recommendation? Tepper needs to hire a consultant who is knowledgeable of the game and have him do a top to bottom examination of our personnel department and find out why are arguable the worst drafting team in the NFL. Why do we pass on players who excel in the league for garbage players who probably couldn't even make most rosters in the NFL as backups.
  21. there was a honeypot of talent at the end of first/top of 2nd and we took at 3rd round talent at best in a trade up lol Ladd, Frazier, Sainristil, DeJean, there was a lot
