College Basketball 2025

Great player, but he isn't built like that. Watch how many possessions he is 30 feet from the hoop or taking plays off on offense. I don't think I've seen him post aggressively, demand the ball aggressively, and then be aggressive with his teammates if they don't give it to him all season. He's amazing skill wise; he leaves a lot to be desired in the "will to win" department. Some of that is coaching (head coach is a bitch), some of that is kids today, and some of that is probably him realizing he is playing with a bunch of dudes that are so below him he doesn't bother. -

Took Hubert 9 minutes to realize Caleb Wilson should get more touches. Then he scored 17 points in the final 11 minutes of the half. I never noticed it until tonight, but Hubert Davis' edge up is in the shape of a cul-de-sac. Never trust anyone who let's their barber do that to them. -
I'd be throwing punches in the locker room at half if im Caleb Wilson. He's absolutely balling put and the rest of the roster is a complete no show.

Ocho says Leggette is coming to see him

It’s mostly a mental/ confidence thing with XL. I don’t think he fixes that in Carolina -

Yeah man. It was ominous. I don’t how to find all the interviews from different platforms but Cam really bothered me that week, as I remember it. He was way past confident, in my eyes. I thought he had the attitude that the game was just a formality, it was like in his mind he was already picking out what hat he would wear to DisneyWorld. I was cringing at it, it is not what you want to see from a guy not named Joe Namath leading up to the biggest game he had ever played in. At least that’s how I remember it. Bright lights big city, they lost focus. We had the better team hands down, and Denver just plain smacked us in the mouth. Having Thomas Davis trying to play with that arm the size of a football wasn’t helping either.

I don’t think XL’s problem are his feet, it’s the mental side of his game that holds him back. Until he figures out how to be more mentally aware on the field and react accordingly, he’ll never become a useful player at this level. -
That tells me OTs are gonna get drafted high. Theres a good crop of them though.

Ocho's feet were amazing hopefully he can teach the big fella something -
Well done, MHS. I'm out in Seahawk country and they've been a fun team to watch. Hired their coach the same year as us, but went defensive minded. Fumbled the OC in year 1 but came back with a helluva hire this past year. I basically want us to find our versions of Ernest Jones IV, Byron Murphy II and Emmanwori. DB is our Leonard Williams, but he needs a partner. I think Lloyd in FA can be our Jones and I don't know where to begin with Emmanwori as he and Hamilton are 1 of 1. I also like the way they use a lot of 13 personnel and just grind teams into the ground on both sides of the ball. Give me Otton to add to our TE room who I'd have to think Canales and Idzik have an eye for. Center and OT are our biggest question marks. I think R1 is OT and grab the best center on day 2.

In the end you call plays for your personnel, and both T-Mac and Coker will be better players next year than they were this year. This year we had two RBs coming off 1k yard seasons, next year we'll have none and two very promising young WRs, there is no world where we aren't throwing it more, even with Bryce's noodle for an arm. Coker is a nice player with a solid upside, but it's nothing close to T-Mac's current ability and his own future upside. Bottom line is Coker will see a significant increase in targets and production, but none of it will come at the expense of the better player with the higher upside as he'll also get an increase of his own.

I agree with most of what you say. I do think they throw it more ( although Canales will never be an aggressive play caller ) and that will benefit everyone. It's a great debate to be having and it's even better to finally be in a position to even be able to have these questions. I really think next year is the year when everything finally starts coming together.

I didn't want to draft Luke given many clear reasons. RR at least knew how to grade ILBs, he called Luke the best college LB he's seen. Herniay was maybe the best 1st picker in NFL. Rounds 2-7 and Free agency, he was one of the worst. He let emotions enter with the Jake resigning and overpayed countless players Charles Johnson, Dwill, Jstew, Anderson, etc. He never build a deep team, just nailed on 92% of those 1st rounders.
