  1. Past hour
  2. It's these same type of "there's no law on the book to force me to be a decent person with some consideration from others so I'll drive like a selfish prick" people who are the first people to cry "road rage" when someone blows by them and offers them a one fingered salute. LOL
  3. I've also seen agents saying certain players don't want to come to / be drafted by Charlotte as they don't want to play with Ball.
  4. If there is 1 thing this team has shown it is more than capable of, it is heart-breaking disappointment. I wait until there are some preseason games before I get too optimistic, because I cannot think of a time when we looked bad in preseason and it didn't directly translate to the regular season. There has never been a switch this team could throw and turn it on, even in the good years. Regarding the Atlanta game, I am hesitant to make much of it. Don't get me wrong..wins are nice, and wins against hated rivals are even nicer. On its own though, it might just be that, and not a trend.
  5. Oddly enough, the Panthers did the right thing trading CMC. He was going to command a huge contract as a home grown, fan favorite and great player when healthy.
  6. Front row tickets to the Cardinals game secured. Took a break for a couple years but this will be stadium 15 for me so I'm halfway through visiting every stadium.
  7. Yeah, I feel like that is even a stretch. I say this as a guy who argued vehemently against signing him to a big extension like we did. CMC is a great player and good person. I just believe the modern NFL is clearly anti-RB spending. We see outliers like Barkely that people like to quote but that is not reflective of the entire NFL's opinion on RB's.
  8. Yesterday
  9. I was at that game. Man, what a time to be a panthers fan!
  10. Don’t be upset if you get smoked and cut. Left lane is a passing lane… if I go 80 on 70 and someone rolls behind me, I yield. End of story. If not, you get smoked. These folks who barely crawl on left lane and when you try to pass em, they gun it.
  11. Yeah, seeing a ton of talk that we’re listening to offers for him. Going back to LJ, Mourning, Kobe, Eddie Jones, Baron, and now Lamelo. It always follows the same playbook. Media hypes and pumps “potential blockbuster” deals with our star player to the big markets/media darling teams. the smoke machine keeps churning. Then it’s rumored we are entertaining said offers (even if there was never talks or substance to the rumors). Then finally, we make a shitty deal that realistically only benefits the big market/media darling, get poo on, then languish in continued mediocrity with the added insult of having no star player whatsoever. Wash, rinse, repeat.
  12. Lamelo Ball come on down, Boston Celtics on line 4.
  13. Not a stretch because the league actually does use us to facilitate players to bigger markets. We’re the “just happy to be here” franchise.
  14. Yep, this checks out. Very on brand with how you've come across online.
  15. Yeah if Im running 70 in a 65 and your in my backseat Im locking my cruise control there and if you dont get the message Ill drop to the posted speed limit. Im at or in excess of the posted speed and have no obligation to yield the lane.
  16. I love Chubba. Been a fan since I heard about his story when he was at Ok St. and no doubt his production and progression is impressive, but this is my one nitpick - he was always touted for his speed, having come from a track background, so I am honestly surprised he doesn’t have more breakaway runs for TDs than what he has achieved thus far. But to be fair, it often feels like he is constantly having to break tackles, so when he breaks the last one where it would just be nothing between him and the end zone, that usually took long enough that a defender from the opposite side of the field got an angle to catch up. I really hope with the receiver additions, Bryce moving forward with confidence and proving that ending stretch last season wasn’t an aberration, and another year of synergy for the OL, Chubba is gonna have some wide open running this season. He is definitely special. Proud of him and happy he is getting rewarded for all his hard work…
  17. Didn't i say passing other cars?
  18. If you're in the left lane, look to the right. Is there someone beside you? Are you soon overtaking someone in the right lane immediately ahead of you? No and no? Then get the fug over. That's how it's supposed to work. Doesn't matter if you're going 100.
  19. Vikings are getting close with their Skoal Chant but nah, bruh, NFL will never be this cool.
  20. this I never cease to be amazed at the number of people who will run up their blood pressure to get to the grocery store 30 seconds faster or are racing to get to work like it won’t be there at 8:02. The only thing I’ve ever done that I think added more years to my life besides quitting smoking, was to learn to go with the flow behind the wheel.
  21. The term you're looking for is "malinger(ed)", and he didn't. I'm not sure why Panthers fans act like jaded ex girlfriends. The dude is clearly injury prone as his time in San Fransico also proves. It's not like he got to San Fran and stopped having problems.
  22. My long and rambling post: The guy is all heart, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back even better next year. He’s exactly the guy you lock up. The money won’t ever change the way he plays. It was a big fumble, but what 1,000 yard back fumbles once in an entire season? Pride. This team is FINALLY seeing guys who obviously take the game very seriously. Hunt, Chuba, Thielen, Brown, Horn (CB), Coker, Bryce (IMHO). Bye bye, Spider-Man. I don’t see these dudes being OK with teammates half-assing practice or in games. I can see Brown and Horn coming over to talk to somebody. Good team? Ummm, maybe, but will still likely lose more close games than they win unless this last draft turns in to LOB part 2. That’s a stretch. Pretty good/decent team. Yes. They finished the season as a pretty good team. I know I sound like a broken record harping back to it, but going in to ATL and putting a 40 burger on them en route to an OT win. A bad Panthers team would have had their brakes beaten off. We’ve seen it. Rose colored glasses on and bonging a 40 of hopium: There are watershed moments that occur that change the course of franchises, both good and bad. If Fox doesn’t pull Rodney at halftime, the epic journey that was 2003 never happens. On the negative side, Cam taking that one hit from Watt was the end of any and all Panthers relevancy and we’ve been the biggest losers in all of pro sports as a result. Watershed moments. LOB draft. Vinny goes down and the goat is born. Will the ATL game be the spark that this franchise has desperately needed? Could it be that they hit the mega million jackpot with Princley and Scourton as eat QBs for breakfast? Sure would be nice having 2 all-pro edge guys on the cheap for the next 4 years. A lot of unknowns, but at least it actually feels fun again.
  23. Ok LT and Petersen are a cut above everyone else to me cmc and Faulk are interchangeable on this list. though Faulk was better career wise
  24. Maybe faked was too strong of a word. "Milked" may be the better way to call it.
  25. I think if you can develop a rookie or a player on a first contract, you accept this if he is trending up. If he is in his prime and making second contract money, nope.
