  2. You know he probably is injured but the whole thing does seem weird. - Announcers weren’t following the injury and reporters never noticed he was being looked at on the sideline, he just walks to the locker room randomly in the 4th and the FOX team was like hey Bryce is leaving. -Was in a boot after the game. -Has not been scene limping at all during or walking to practice. -Reporters calling it a HAS, but Canales being very vague about what it actually is. He was playing kinda bad against the Jets but no more underwhelming than he usually is. I almost feel like he and Canales talked and they know Andy has a better shot against the Bills and this was some staged deal and then he will comeback next week against GB. It’s awfully similar to when he tweaked his ankle but had no visible limp and just showed up on the injury report before the Seattle game a few years ago. A lot of people speculated that Reich didn’t want him playing in a tough place like that right away and they sat him. I will be interested to see if he dresses as the emergency QB this week. They will probably elevate Hooker for show either way, but if Bryce dresses he will be the real back up this week.
  3. I think the Panthers keep it close. I predict a tie...24 to 24
  4. Bro these folks better stop playing with cam before they get hurt
  5. Sounds like there's zero urgency to desperately get him prepared to start to keep this winning streak alive lol. Strong run game and multiple sacks/turnovers by the D is the obvious reason we're at 4-3. If it was Mahomes or Allen they'd be shooting them up with so much junk and wrapping that ankle so tight just to keep them on the field.
  6. couldn’t see in the phone screen if Cam hit or slapped the guy but I figured slapped because he remained conscious lol. Anyone can make a case out of anything. The mascot will or could be getting pressure from the school to not make it a case because of the financial benefit they get from association with ESPN. And ESPN can push or bury, depending on how they feel about Cam’s future as an on air asset.
  7. This was a natural evolution from the change in making it easier and easier to pass. Defenses adjusted to force things underneath, being willing to give up the long methodical drives because there are more opportunities for mistakes by the O.
  8. It looks like we can make good decisions when we removed the mandate to pump up the offense. Yes we took McMillan instead of defense this year but that seemed more a BPA this time around. And some pretty astute calls were made as the draft transpired. Or at least at this early stage they seem to be that. You want to help out your team? You have that draft. It has looked like that all season and still does.
  9. So last year I would have disagreed. But this year, Minnesota's struggles shows he's better than I thought he was. I don't think he's elite tbh, but man, I hope he proves me wrong. Fwiw, I think he could have developed more here, he was doing well under Wilks. But, I'm not sure he's got what it takes to win a Superbowl so I don't begrudge us or Minny) moving on. Hoping he proves me wrong there too.
  10. I am by nature optimistic about acquisitions and draft picks and how the players need time to develop and grow, and have patience with most things. This Bryce thing was so egregious to me, I just couldn’t accept that they were really doing it. It was so fuging stupid that I could see it. I ain’t no scout. I am mellowing on him a little because he has shown some growth but I still don’t believe in him. He has to put the hammer down or we are so screwed. Is what it is at this point and what I do know is I am looking forward to Sunday and hoping Andy hasn’t fallen off the cliff. If he is still able to play at the level he was a couple of years ago it will be fun. One thing I should say for Bryce is that that Dallas game was the most fun game in years, and he didn’t fug it up. But I think that’s his ceiling. Looks really good against the worst D with a 200 yard rusher on his side. Lol peace
  11. I had to watch it again. Whoever has on that outfit is going to hear it for a few days around campus lol. Gave me Happy Gilmore vibes. Kinda looks like they were playing. He knocked his hat off .... and cam smacked the fire out his ass... he'll prolly keep his job but im wondering could the mascot guy have a case out of this?
  12. lol I hate being negative about the team I’m always such a glass half full guy and optimistic. But Tepper has done that to me man. It’s not our first time under Tepper having a winning record around this time of year. Always turned out to be a fugazi, so I’m tempering expectations. Obviously I’m way happier being 4-3 than having our seasons over by now like the last several years. But Bryce is truly terrible and I don’t see any way around our weak QB position this year as the schedule gets much tougher. I’m becoming more and more optimistic though about the progression of the D and what Canales can do with a legit QB behind this line and this running game and progression of young WRs. But that’ll take at least next offseason so this year I’m tempering expectations significantly.
  13. yep. But who looked at the neglect of - and outright thievery from - the defense, basically since we took Jaycee Horn high, and ever thought it was a one year fix? Not you and not me, pretty sure. I mean they put the tab for Bryce on the defense, on top of some neglect that had already happened. So it was really extreme attrition. I admit to much resentment and yes I took it out on Bryce because he was supposed to be helping us. We weren’t supposed to have to help him like that. I could have been more sympathetic lol.
  14. But it might happen that way. Last year showed how badly people wanted him to succeed because it was pretty universally opined that he did enough and showed he deserved it. people could use those game winning drive stats again, and the big time throws and a couple of wins and he will be ‘in’. Definitely a lot of support out there for him. Maybe he does something to prove to me* he should get it. That is about my best hope. * I should have said the skeptics, instead of me.
  15. It seems like they are using the opportunity to get a different perspective. They took him out of the game because he was feared to be injured. I don’t think in that moment they had ulterior motives. But it gave them time to consider one. They were probably like we are and when they thought Andy was up, decided they were excited about it. I could take it further and say maybe they looked at the film and thought hey with a week of reps, what would this look like? Surely they wouldn’t, right? (I am not claiming they did that last part just joking around).
  16. I guess we're debating the level of Tepper's involvement... again. I can only gauge based on evidence. Since Morgan has been GM it seems to me like football guys have been making football decisions.
  17. I wonder when he returns if any reporters are going to ask him if he learned anything
  18. I agree with the general premise of this thread. We can't just give Bryce the starting QB job next season.
