He has every physical attribute you could want but he just has not proven any instincts for being a good defender. I love him as a special teamer and he can bring some depth to a few spots on defense, but I hope they don’t rely on him as any kind of key reserve.

I think a lot of fans are overlooking how completely terrible he was against Miami because Miami dropped all those gift wrapped INTs. He could've very easily gotten picked 4 or 5 times that game leading to an absolute blowout but evidently all the Miami defenders have bricks for hands. The NFL is gonna evaluate that game tape and see interceptions galore. We're not talking about "oh, that could've been picked" balls. We're talking about "how dafuq did that not get picked???" balls.

Pavia is basically significantly less talented and much smaller Sam Darnold. He has even less QB experience than Darnold had. He is likely a long term developmental prospect and not really someone that could be relied on to be a quality #2 QB. He would be great as a #3 or PS QB to develop.

Worth noting that his Bama o-line were NFL height and he had no issues seeing over/around them.

I suspect it will not go well. They certainly have some talent but still lack a QB and some other pieces. At best, they might rise to fringe playoff competitor. Now, this is also with the prospect of Washington about to be going through a HC change and Philly in turmoil. Could end up backing into a weak division.

I dont think rookies and a few FA's are going to change things much. What we need is development from the guys we have drafted and have been on the team 2+years. But since our 23 and 24 drafts were complete duds I am not sure what to expect

Yeah, notice how his feet are set and he is able to drive the ball downfield. That rarely happens here. Also, you are almost never going to see NFL WR's that open.

If things dont change drastically we are eyeballing 5/6 wins. We caught some breaks this year

I'm skeptical of it being a talent problem and more of a scheme issue. But we will see next season when more players are added. But with that being said, he has managed to out coach Canales as a whole this season.

I figured this would ultimately be the case. Of the openings thIs is the one that makes the most sense IMO. Dart showed a lot of promise as a rookie and they'll get Nabors back from injury next year. They obviously need work but they have some key pieces in place and a lot of their losses were competitive.

Their DL is crazy bad honestly. DL wise, Lawrence is a problem for them, they have no run defense or real anchor anymore to tilt matchups for their edge rushers. Burns had a good year sack wise, but somehow was worse in run-d than we've ever seen (and that's saying something). Total liability. Pair him as that liability with Carter, who was not as blue-chip as expected, and Thibs who seems above average at best, they've got major issues. Okereke is getting old. Nubin, Adebo, and Philips are about their only players on that side of the ball to call a core. Makes you feel a bit better about us with some of our guys haha.

His lows far outweigh his highs so far volume wise. He's had like 5-7 legit/truly solid games in his career out of 46. His highs have shown some respectable play that would be worthy of a 1st round pick. His lows are UDFA lows. And the bulk of it is very inconsistent below-average play that is difficult to watch. We've seen some slightly elevated play, more consistently as of late, but it's not yet enough to give a full contract to. I totally get giving him the 5th year. But this org absolutely has be patient and see how 2026 rolls out. He's not in position to demand some shiny new contract yet so we can obviously wait and see, watch until guys like CJ get their cut and how Bryce plays a bit more. There is absolutely not enough to go off and rush this process. If Tepper/Morgan are claiming to have learned and are willing to be patient, then they need to exercise patience with a 2nd contract.

No offense, I really am not being confrontational here. But I don't think any WR in the NFL or college or even high school would have defined that as a tough catch. If you can only catch a ball that is perfectly passed then you're not a WR? You're an athlete that goes out for passes. The TD winning catch by the Rams TE was exponentially more difficult with many more variables involved. All Jimmy had to do was catch a ball that was within the frame of his body. I think he catches that 19 out of 20 times. But that was the 1 out of 20 he didn't.

Based on these, BY is better than about half the other playoff QB's.

Even if we have a lot of cap space, we still need to find players who want to come here. Making the playoffs may help that but other teams that also made the playoffs who have more cap space are Chargers, Seahawks, Rams, Steelers, Patriots, 49ers, Colts, and Broncos. Over The Cap

Giants roster is pretty stacked, that made them one of the premiere destinations. They'll be in playoff contention next season.
