  1. Past hour
  2. Are trades like these not pending a physical? It was public knowledge he was dealing with an injury at some level regardless so no one with the Packers can plead ignorance altogether.
  3. Im sure he had to pass a physical as part of the deal. The Packers had to have known to pay a price that high. If they didn't, there's no lemon law in the NFL.
  4. There are no “good” safeties cut a week before the season starts.
  5. Ok that’s pretty sly in a funny way if it turns into something
  6. This is akin to calling Karl Hamilton a good WR. He's a special teamer pushing 30. They probably found someone younger and cheaper who can do it and maybe actually play safety too.
  7. According to PFF which our team cares greatly about seemingly, he was garbage. 168th/171 strong safeties. Terrible overall grade at 37.6 with a 43.5 coverage grade. https://www.pff.com/nfl/players/jt-gray/51495
  8. he would be a great add. probably the best specialist over the past 5 years
  9. The reason is that it was the only viable option for both parties. The SEC and Big10 weren't an option for those schools and any schools those conferences would want weren't an option for the ACC. Finnebaum is already saying that UNC to the SEC is gonna happen, it's now just a question of who's coming along with them and when those schools will pull the plug on the buyout. Buyout is $165M currently but drops by $18M per year until bottoming it at $75M in '30-'31. That's pretty much the ACC's expiration date and it may not last that long.
  10. The ACC is the third beast conference in college sports taking in all sports, there’s a reason SMU and cal come to the ACC. They will not dissolve. Some may leave like Maryland who has had zero success since leaving Clemson, FSU, Miami and / or Carolina would all be stupid to leave and be the 4th or 5th best anywhere else and never sniff a playoff birth again. The ACC will not be gone in 3 or 4 years.
  11. Finebaum has not been disappointing so far. Extra salty callers today.
  12. Nick Underhill @nick_underhill Saints released S J.T. Gray, per source special teams demon, 3x all pro apparently 29 years old also was a captain at least one year Gray, who joined the Saints in 2018 as an undrafted rookie free agent, was a special teams standout and team captain. He has been a first-team All-Pro Selection twice and was named to the Pro Bowl in 2021 as a special teamer. he was going to make about 3.5 mill this year, we can get him for less than that I'm sure. Not sure how good he is at safety though
  13. Today
  14. Now, will they play him and break their new toy or will they rest him
  15. Doubt it would have changed anything. The opportunity to get a top player at a premium position at his age is so rare.
  16. Seahawks have 77m and are 4th, that 30m number is 19th for this season. Lmfao
  17. True and as a Clemson fan I’m really not living in present day college football like most. So I’m still getting a bigger slice of the way it was than your average college football fan. We still tuning in to watch year 4 of the of the guys that have been on the roster and watching the same kids year after year. to an extent, Clemson is as good as it gets as a college football fan. But that’s just today. Will it keep us from another natty? Probably, but we got about 3-5 more years of sorta watching college football as I like it. Would our odds of winning a natty be stronger if we just hired the top merc at RB for this year and whatnot? Sure. That was THE spot to fix. But I’ll just enjoy moaning about our longtime WR converted to RB and which freshman can grow into it as this, they way it is ride is almost over
  18. from Adam Shefter I dont think this has been posted Packers LB Micah Parsons has been dealing with an L4/L5 facet joint sprain in his back and he may take an epidural injection prior to Sunday’s game vs. the Lions if needed to help him play, per sources. Before trading Parsons last week, the Cowboys prescribed him a five-day plan of an anti-Inflammatory corticosteroid, a prednisone to help him recover from back tightness. They also had him on a physical therapy program. Parsons has been practicing this week and he is trying to play in Sunday’s opener vs. the Lions, though one source said it still is uncertain if he will.
  19. Yea it may not be "fair" but QBs are ultimately judged by how successful they are. Bryce definitely needs to have a winning season/playoff season within his first 4 years to be considered worth paying top dollar to and keeping for another 3 or 4 years. That's also what the entire coaching staff is gking to be held to. Not having a winning season with 4 years of Bryce/3 years of Canales simply won't be good enough, and I think Tepper would hit the reset button on everything if we arent in the playoffs or have a winning season by the end of the 2026 season. Personally I'll become a Bryce Believer if he can consistently perform well this year and we get 8 or 9 + wins, is what im looking for.
  20. Here is a trivia question….LaNorris Sellars broke a drought and was the first Gamecock quarterback to win a game in Atlanta in 48 years. Name the last Gamecock QB to win in Atlanta. here is a hint
  21. There's only 3 options for Bryce after this season. 2 of them can only happen if he elevates his play significantly. Even then it's going to be a tough decision
